Photos: Over 20 pregnant women rescued from baby factory in Abia

Men of the Abia State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC have rescued over 20 young pregnant women in a baby factory it discovered at Umunkpeyi in Isiala Ngwa South LGA, following a tip off.

Parading the rescued women and some of the workers in the baby factory, the state commandant of NSCDC, Andy Dateer, said the baby factory is named Nma Charity and Motherless Babies’ Home,  and that the owner who is now at-large, brings in men to impregnate the girls. He said after delivery, the babies are sold, and the mothers paid peanuts.

He said three children under the age of two, who were being prepared for sale, were rescued while four ‘social workers’ and four men were arrested in the raid. See more photos...

One of the pregnant women was reportedly very ill and in a critical condition. She was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

Mr Dateer said the NSCDC will monitor the repatriation of the girls back to their respective homes.

Nawao! Which kind of country is this, always reading embarrassing news. And these wrinkled, pimple-faced old women doesn't understand the consequences of throwing their legs open to some retards without the preconceived awareness of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted related diseases. Nawao.

what i don't seems to understand is if the spare part business is no longer lucrative in igbo land? why is it that these ppl do not have human feelings? i believe noon of these girls are bellow 10 they should be a severe punishment to these girls especially. i don't think at their age they were tight to that factory or being forced to have sex; they enjoy both the sex and the money given to them. their parents too has be punish for subjecting their girls and women to take such business as a means of livelihood not minding the fact that the babies they are selling might be for ritual purpose. May God Have mercy on them. I pray God to continue to forgive our sins in this country.

Its quite unfortunate that people who run such business do not have respect dignity for women, moreover they do not respect the sanctity of life forgetting that they will face the consequences of what they do. God have mercy on them and touch thier heart to repent
