Muslim youths attack another Catholic Church, says Friday belongs to us (photos)

A group of Muslim youths, on Friday attacked St. Philips Catholic Parish, Baki Iku, very close to Zuma Rock in Niger State. According to eyewitnesses, some Catholics had gone to the church to pray and were attacked by the Muslims who claimed that Friday is their day of prayer and that the Church only has right to worship on Sundays.

The funeral of Alton Sterling, who was shot dead on July 5th by two white police officers outside a convenience store in Baton Rouge, took place in Louisiana, USA yesterday July 15th. However some controversy came with it, as people who don't understand it's benefit criticized him for proposing such a bill. Troops ambush Boko Haram terrorists in Marguba, Borno state

The 29 Brigade Quick Reaction Force (QRF), in conjunction with Civilian JTF carried out an ambush against Boko Haram terrorists east of Marguba village in Kaga Local Government Area, Borno State yesterday Friday. The troops killed 2 of the Boko Haram terrorists, while some of them sustained gun shot wounds as could be seen from traces of blood during mopping up.

The reason for the murder is not yet known but according to the management of the school, his death had nothing to do with the just concluded student union government election in June.

'They will pay'- Furious Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan vows revenge on military coup plotters

Five army generals and 29 colonels have been arrested following the attempted military coup in Turkey last night where at least 90 people were killed. Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has vowed to deal with those behind the failed coup.

In a speech at Istanbul airport, Mr Erdoğan insisted his government remains in charge and has denounced the coup attempt as an "act of treason"

The pair were scheduled to join other football stars play a match in Turkey today Saturday July 16th that was organised by Samuel Eto'o, their former teammate, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his charity foundation. However, the match has been cancelled after a military coup was attempted in Turkey late Friday night.

The dinner night held last night, but the charity football match scheduled for today has been cancelled. Some guests are even stranded in Turkey following the lockdown of their major airports.
