4-year-old fraternal twins dress up as matching designer Chanel purses for halloween

Photos of the 4 year old fraternal twins in costume were posted on their Instagram, which is run by their mother Lucy Abir. Abir regularly posts photos of her daughters in matching designer clothing on the account. Too cute!

A good start! Meet Tanzania's first female Vice President

Samia Suluhu Hassan, 55, was announced Vice President of Tanzania in the 2015 General Elections, alongside Tanzania's ruling party candidate John Magufuli. Suluhu is married to Hafidh Ameir and they have four children. The National Electoral Commission announced on Thursday, October 29, that Magufuli won the presidential election after the opposition challenged the tallying process and demanded a recount.

We have only just 33, 000 policemen in Lagos for a population of over 20million-Ambode

Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode today lamented on the state of insecurity in the state, stressing that Lagos with a population of 20 million people has only 33,000 policemen to cater to the security needs of the state. While speaking at the close of the state governments retreat for the newly appointed members of the state executive council Governor Ambode, revealed that more money have been put into ensuring better policing in Lagos and asked the state police commissioner and his men to justify the additional funds allocated to security
"We’re not yet where we want to be. We have only just 33, 000 policemen in Lagos for a population of over 20million. Again, we don’t have control over these police officers.

Photo: 5 in-traffic armed robbers arrested in Lagos

The Lagos state police Rapid Response Squad have arrested five in-traffic robbers who specialized in snatching handsets and bags from unsuspecting members of public in traffic. The suspects identified as Ajala Lateef 16, Salami Sodiq, 15, Raji Kazeem, 19, Bashiru Adeyemi, 19, and Ikechukwu Ukueje, 15, were arrested on Wednesday October 28th after they had successfully robbed their victim of her belongings.

Dog finds an abandoned baby/foetus and takes it to safety (photos)

This is so amazing but biko, is that a foetus or a fully formed baby? Don't know where this happened but according to reports, this dog found the newly born baby and took it to where people could see it. The dog carried the baby in its mouth and amazingly didn't hurt the baby. See another pic after the cut

Man arrested after posting a threat on a Police FB page saying he planned to open fire on someone's house

Adrian San Martins was arrested after he posted a threat to the Bexar County Sheriff's office's official Facebook page, saying he planned to open fire on someone's house. The threat prompted investigators to look at Adrian San Martin's own Facebook page, where they identified him as wanted on a warrant for evading arrest. The Sheriff's office shared a photo of San Martin writing:
"Be careful what you post and especially where you post it. BCSO's Fugitive Apprehension Unit arrested Adrian San Martin last night. He was wanted for an outstanding warrant for evading arrest. We found him after he posted on our Facebook page a threat to shoot someone's house up"

Major events so far: The plane was mainly carrying Russian tourists.  150 bodies have been found over a 3 mile radius. A criminal investigation has now been launched against the airline. 2 black boxes have been recovered. According to Mirror Online, an ISIS group has claimed it shot down the Russian plane, despite early indications it was a technical problem that caused the disaster and there was no survivors' in the crash. Oh no! Russian plane with 224 passengers onboard crashes over Sinai, Egypt

A Kogalymavia passenger plane carrying 224 people has crashed in Egypt's Sinai penunsula. The airliner took off from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheik this morning, and was heading for Russia, according to aviation sources, when it disappeared from radar. It's believed the plane was mainly carrying Russian tourists.

The plane was carrying 212 passengers and 7 crew members. 17 of the passengers are children.

Two separate poles (seen above) are about to fall and pose great danger to residents in the area. One pole is on Galilee Avenue and the other is on Salau street, not far from the first. Ex-England footballer, John Fashanu has revealed the extents he went to prevent his elder brother, Justin Fashanu from coming out as gay. He said he paid him £75K to keep quiet about it.

The former Wimbledon striker made the shock admission a week after it emerged two top footballers – including an England star – plan to come out. In his first in-depth interview about brother Justin since his tragic suicide in 1998, he said: 
“I begged him, I threatened him, I did everything I could possibly do to try and stop him coming out. I gave him the money because I didn’t want the embarrassment for me or my family. Had he come out now, it would be a different ball game. There wouldn’t be an issue, but there was then. Things are different now. Now he’d be hailed a hero.”

Oil thieves jailed for 84 yrs

Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Lagos yesterday convicted seven men to 84 years imprisonment for illegal and unlawful dealing in 1,459 metric tonnes of petrol. The court sentenced each of the convicts to a jail term of 12 years each starting Friday after they were all found guilty of the five count charge preferred against them.
