Sequel to the weekly rigours of highly creative and “Top of the world” dance step by different dance crews at Malta Guinness Street Dance Africa III auditions held at four regional locations across the country, all the top dance crews selected from the regions (Lagos, Benin, Enugu and Abuja) have arrived at the Malta Guinness Street Dance Africa season III boot camp.

These selected eight crews had to impress the panel of judges which is made of the dynamic trio, international renowned choreographer Wale Rubber, Kaffy who holds the Guinness World Record by dancing for three days non-stop and frankly speaking Frank, all had to use their wealth of experience in the selection of the final crews that made it to the boot camp.

Aside from the scintillating dance moves and breath taking stunts witnessed at the auditions from the competing dance crews, adorers of the brand Malta Guinness and Malta Guinness Street Dance Africa III are in for another round of “Top of World” performances. Yerima’s bride is daughter of his Egyptian driver

The Egyptian child married last month in Abuja by Senator and former governor of Zamfara State, Ahmed Yerima is the 14-year-old daughter of M Eladly, his driver in Cairo, Egypt.

Marim Maged M. Eladly was brought into Nigeria alongside 32 members of her family for the marriage to the 50-year-old Mr. Yerima because he could not marry her in Egypt, as it is against Egyptian law for a man to marry a girl who is under 18 years old.

A United Nations official who was recently in Egypt told NEXT on condition of anonymity that the Nigerian Senator literally induced the poor family of the child to give her away to him.

Mr. Yerima had loudly protested that the age of his new bride was not the much-talked about 13, although he did not state the age of the girl.***

Introducing - The artist, Gloria Maduka

African-born multi-talented Gloria Maduka's unique singing, songwriting, and dancing styles comprise primarily of pop infused with African elements. She was one of 40 out of 12,000 in Jacksonville, FL selected to audition in front of American Idol judges and producers and was featured singing globally in a 2009 episode. She was invited to sing the Star Spangled Banner at a Barron's baseball game.

Her unique trademark is further enhanced by her ability to also write and sing in Yoruba and Spanish and by her technique with the conga, an instrument she has effectively infused into her music for several years. Due to a diverse set of influences, such as Toni Braxton, Mariah Carey, Nneka, Coldplay, Matchbox20, Whitney Houston, Kelly Clarkson, Angelique Kidjo, Brandy, Selena Perez, Shakira, Shania Twain, 311, and Femi Kuti, her vocals range from soft and pretty to hard but heart-felt.

While in Africa, Maduka received several nods after performing at a church, encouraging her to pursue music as a career. This passion led to the creation and direction of the church's youth choir for three years before departing for the US to further pursue music. While only a freshman in Livingston, Maduka made headlines with one labelling her as "[bringing] down the house." Maduka was also involved in several record-setting activities. She was the first foreign student to be crowned both Ms. Black and Gold and Ms. UWA. In the summer of 2002, she was chosen to intern on Capitol Hill, DC. Maduka also hosted her own local TV talkshow and her face was the anchor for the Community News. In spite of several academic involvements, Maduka accepted invitations to perform in front of Congressman Earl Hilliard and also during games, staff gatherings, and pageants.

In 2002, Maduka competed with hundreds to win a modeling contract with the National Film and Fashion Board which she not only won but also won the Best Adult Talent category after she sang her unique rendition of The Star Spangled Banner. She was also a major cast member in a production of Fats Waller's jazz musical, "Aint Misbehaving" where she transcended nationalities, fitting in as an African-American in the 30's; she opened and closed the show every night.

Maduka won the annual Serendipity Talent Show every year that she was in Livingston, making her the first foreigner to ever place. In spite of graduating Magna Cum Laude and being the only Honors student in her graduating class, Maduka gave up law school in pursuit of her dreams. Consequently, she is applying her English, Journalism, and Psychology degrees towards her music career. Currently, her single, "Love Illusion" is playing on the airwaves in Africa. She's also working on videos and her first album "Of Light and Angels."

Beauty + Talent = Gloria Maduka.
Keep repping Naija.

Stephanie Henshaw Okotie turns 40.

The 40th birthday of Mrs Stephanie Okotie on May 2 2010 was another opportunity for her husband, Rev Chris Okotie to shower her with love. And the funky man of God didn't spare anything in doing so.

This is what he said: "The kind of flower you call your wife is what she is. If you call her the common hibiscus, that's the way the world would look at her. Mine is the most beautiful flower you can ever think of. Stephanie, I just wanted to tell you I love you. No matter what people say. I am committed to this relationship. You are all I have that makes me happy. You are so beautiful. As you grow older, you would be more beautiful than Sarah, and kings will be looking for you, but my security guards won't allow them. As you step into 40, which is significant in many ways, your blessings will exceed that of your progenitors. I am rich. I will provide all your needs according to my riches. You don't need to do anything for me, I have it all. Having you as far as I am concerned is everything. And when I become Nigeria's President, you will be the most beautiful first lady in the world."

"My boy is my whole life" Joseph Yobo

"My wife gave birth at the Liverpool women hospital, Liverpool, very near home. She gave birth at about 11am April 10th and I was there. My wife wanted me to go in with her when she was about to deliver. And I did. It was a fantastic experience and the most amazing part of it all was my being there through the whole process and even help cut the cord. It is one of the best feelings I have ever had in my life, especially when I held my boy after his birth.  The boy is my whole life now. I believe I now have a complete family. It's not all about me anymore. It's all about him now. After the end of the premiership and world cup, I would be taking my family on a well deserved holiday. Mt wife and I have not had our honeymoon yet, so we would be doing that. Then for those of our friends who missed our wedding, we would be having a reception and a child dedication" Joseph Yobo
