Indeed it is believed among Muslims that blessed is he/she who dies in the "Holy land" during the course of the pilgrimage, for aljana (Muslim heaven) his/her automatic reward....
Ditto for the bloody among them who die fighting for Allah in the various flashpoints around the world, where Muslims are predominantly domiciled....
