This month last year, St. Ives Hospital made history as its IVF & Fertility Unit aided the conception and delivery of Africa’s oldest IVF mum (Christie Irurhe) at 60years old.

God is using doctors to answer the prayers of intending parents. The time of waiting on God for 30 years has come and gone. God himself has given us the gift of IVF using doctors. Having a baby is a blessing. Having a baby at 60+ years is another thing. When this couple is in their 80s the baby will be late teens. I don't understand. Why do we shy away from adoption. If after 25-30 years of marriage you do not have a baby out of your womb. Adopt! It is a blessing.
It is not labour pains that makes a child your own. Rather, your instilling the values and morals you want to pass unto the next generation as they grow.
Now that Patience and Jonathan are out vacationing I hope she does not read this blog post and propose to her hubby they do IVF
