Wow! God abundantly bless them for this, and I wish them well. Thumbs up, and more power to their elbows.

That's good. It'll serve as moral booster to the soldiers still alive.

What is good about what they did? It is the right of the family of a fallen soldier to be paid not a privilege, why are people commending them as if they are donating to an NGO? why presenting them the cheque in front of camera?

that money is nothing empower 1 of his child cose that moni will finish in no time

Unknown said...

They should av empower any of his child and add money to it

A look at the widow and her son clearly shows that they are looking unhealthy. Not properly taking care of by the govt. despite the fact that their bread winner laid down his life in service to his father land.
Where as our legislatures and governmental officials in power who all preached change in their respective campaigns for electives positions are presently busy fighting for their selfish interests, displaying their shamed attitudes before the world instead of the changed they all preached thereby neglecting their primary duty "service to the electorate".
May God help us all in JESUS name!

Mad respect for Nigerian Army for doing this...I must commend them

i hope they gave them the complete money oo because i interviewed one of the a dismissed soldiers recently and he said the family of the deceased are given 1M against the 5M released by the Federal Government..

On another note....
How would the soldiers not rebel when they get 30k each monthly allowance against the 200k each disbursed by the Federal government. on top of that they still pay 54k for last corporal to face death monthly..

onyara and the WRATH OF GOD on all the OGAS AT THE TOP that cuts our gallant officers facing Boko Harram's pay

Listened to one of the dismissed officer's (13 yrs in service and dismissed because he opted not to confront bokoharam because they were not given adequate tool to fight) testimony on what is happening in the North.. it's disheartening.. so real... God please help our Soldiers..

RIP to the fallen HEROES..

So sad. I hope the cheque is worth it. Besides, a scholarship programme should be given to their kids with decent accomodation for their wives, till some of them remarries; if they feel the need to.

Why does the cheque giving need to become publicised with photoshoot it's their right!no matter how big the cheque is it can't replace d lost lives! 2million naira will not give that little boy a hand to hold or a fathers advice!

E ya, God bless dem

All these publicity is not needed. Let there be process in place for instances as these. It should not be a press conference issue. Before some people add it as part of their achievement in office. No need for lump sum payment, rather periodic and untouched amounts. Cheques that may bounce clearing.
