Yes..most times its the type of jobs available...after wasting 6yrs ( plus strikes) you go and end up serving food n drinks at d bar to pple who probably dont have more dan primary 6 certificate

This is the first time I'm hearing of a graduate being paid such meagre amount. Its so unfair.
~BONARIO~says so via NOKIA LUMIA
Even here in lag
Graduates are earning as low as 10 -15k per month
Buhari Take Note!!
I believe the graduate is a corper serving at the school. The schools pays 6k and federal govt pays 19,800. I think thats what she meant.
OMG! God help us in this country. Linda take note!

Nigeria my country
And the worse part is dey can't complain bcos if dey do,dey will be fired!it's that bad!
Very true even in lagos
The situation in Nigeria is a painfil. One.Its not even about going to school. Its about the untold hardship that follows after graduating .I still don't understand why politicians in public offices earn 1000 times better than a graduate in the civil service. Why is there so much disparity between salaries being paid in NNPC,FIRS,para military for instance as opposed to peanuts being paid in civil and public service eg ministries? Its so unfair that some are treated better than the others when all of em went through thesame stress in school. The govt really have to look into that
Linda this is not new to us again in this country, when your parents spent whooping sum of money to see one through school and the out come is this? I really don't blame that stephanie who said nigeria is the worst place to live in. It's sad 6k a graduate! I just pray to God almighty to see me through when it my turn to search for white collar job.
Imagine d nonsense! Lifeaint easy n our politicians made it worse!
Dis is wht is called under employment in our country.
Thia is just wrong n yet sone will sit in d office doing next to nothing n be collecting hundreds of thousands....we need a fix please.....
I have not heard of 6k before, but I know of a graduate been paid 15k. And the working days include Saturdays and the staffs (Degree graduates) sweeps and mobs the office too everyday.....
Moye says so via BB Passport...Courtesy LIB....
And they wonder why youths are into all kinds of get rich quick schemes!!
I dont kow of 6k...But I know of 15k.

A corper serving in a school doesn't teach primary schools and secondly they are being paid 4k not 6k
NASS are not doing anything, the way private companies use and talk to graduate is so irritating. People work 6 days a week with little pay and they are still been owed for months. How the entrepreneur feels he his doing them a favor because so called organization cant implement rules.
If diz ur 1st time u re hearing diz den... Itz nothing new on how graduate earn so low amount.
Who are this so called NASS they will keep face like they are not seeing what private companies are paying people. Our government cant even fight for us inside the con3, foreign companies will come and do same thing. When this company see oyibo they go they pay them millions.
Am vry sure she is nt a corper cuz I served in ib in 2010 n I knw wat dey offer graduate. vry poor place to grow.
Y r u here?
The minimum wage in this country is also a fat joke really
Anything is possible in Nigeria. We lack enabling laws
The minimum wage in this country is a joke and our politicians are more concerned with enriching their pockets as opposed to succeeding, and leaving their imprints for a job well done.
before???? se even get luck say she get the job sef.
It's true they earn that, but another bitter truth is, most graduates wants office jobs/better pay from day 1.
There r businesses, handwork that can fetch u way better, but they settle for less Co's it has to do with office, our mentality is not helping.
If u r a graduate or without education but u can communicate in pidgin/English contact me, there's this organization that's recruiting, no money is needed from u.
Hmmmm' may God help our country and our''destitute of population ....its alarming ''and u hear the amount this senators, gov, members...collect ''haba.....some civil servants are not even living a glory life '''we have to help our self''' Well thank God...the slogan change has come to act and not just mere fiction # God help our coming leaders
So true. Unemployment has eaten deep that employers of labour are on the edge cutting cost due to the economy.
Nothing so far has been done by the three tiers of government.
Yes, vry vry true o, sm pple even collect less dan 6k in all dos agbole private schs
Omg...sometimes I wonder if dis country is progressing sef.
That white man that tweeted that it's wrong to force employers to pay their workers a minimum of 25k (and that we are not in soviet union) must be one of those Indians or chinese that enslaves their nigerian workers, overuse them and pay them peanuts!!!
30 days = 6k seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???
Hian! A lot of lawyers r being paid 20k monthly. My colleagues, am I lying? It Mk me shed blood cos law is one of d most expensive course to study in naija not to talk of hw u wd nearly lose ur sanity in law sch too. Pls hw can one build a family or even support his parents that hv spent so much n waited patiently 4 u.
My course mate took a gateman job some where in ph just to feed. The alarming rate of unemployment is quite disheartening so am not surprised that some is collecting 6k
U don't leave in nigeria then,
Have received 7k as salary once, while I was searching for job which I did for 4months before working in a fashion house as stylist where I earn 24k before starting up my own...my dear sometimes in life u have to pass through such to learn something about life...now I make over 100k per month..learnt a lot during those time..
My Sister earns 6k in a private primary school at Onitsha.
hmmm, then most of us should really thank God.Those earning better wont appreciate what you have now until you loose.
linda what are you talking, it is as bad as that now. there is this private col. of education in ilorin here who offered to pay 5k per course for part time lecture for a semester, and don`t forget a semester is 3 months. imagine 5k for 3 months for part time lecturers. i told the registrar i paid my sales boy 8k plus every month, and my son`s home tutor 24k for just 2 children and he comes 12 times in a week for 1hr.30mins. i told and you want to offer 5k for a semester? what a cheap labour.
Love my country...we're the giant of
africa lol.
You done dey famous small small. Try
See my story, maybe it may sound familiar. I got a "Job" recently at a media outfit in Niger state where am currently serving as a Corp member and the pay is 15,000naira. In a state where you pay for everything, from water, electricity bill and house rents. Linda such is the Nigerian dream for many of my kinds out there. #Toughlife
Reasons why graduates should create jobs for themselves. Just like Linda Ikeja. Little wonder she doesn't know the situation of things in the country
Bonario really? This is your first time? Are u trying to form ignorance like Linda or you people are just so fake that you are faraway from reality and u just don't know.
How sad. One has to survive.

IMAGINE PEOPLE EARN 6K IN NIGERIA AND SHAPE YOU WANTS TO STEAL MY 26K... LINDA I WON'T ALLOW YOU REST O IF I DON'T GET MY FULL REFUND FROM THOSE THIEVES YOU KEEP ADVERTISING FOR.
That's tru. My brother that works with covenant polytechnic aba receives a salary of 8k per month. Living faith school oo. Linda if u doubt go and investigate.
And this is exactly why I refuse to practice law in this country. My degree can sleep for all I care. The legal sector is rubbish.
Wow! Just Wow
OKORO UPGRADED**
Nigerian Graduates are lazy! Building site workers earn much more than graduates. Our housegirl is a graduate who would rather work in a house earning 50K, not paying rent or bills than work in an office for 12,000 and not have enough money to transport to work
From the little to the not very little. Over 60% of Shell(SPDC) staff are contract staff and they go as long as 5months before getting their salaries. In fact, they practically beg to be paid. Suffering and smiling. It's an endemic rot in the country and sadly the perpetrators are Nigerians.
Went for a job interview in a private school in Opic. The woman said she can only pay 20k per month...she went further that the 20k is too much sef that she could pay 10-15k..calculating my transportation to the school, its 12k per month...tithe 2k...remaining 6k..I'm a graduate with my nysc certificate o...That's Nigeria for u.

True. Am a lawyer and I can relate. So many people even have masters from foreign universities yet they still want to pay you 20k or less. I remember my days in law school, are how you will read like your life depends on that book, I no sleeping time, drinking coffee every now and then yet nothing to show for. May God help us all
Same in some parts of Benue and on top of that, alot of people haven't collected that measly wage in months.
That even when they get paid. Even at such meager salaries many go unpaid....God help us.
The condition of service in Nigeria, for those that are lucky to have a condition of service, is wicked. Makes one to wonder - is this my oil rich country or am I in a foreign land? But a place where the federal and state institutions owe their employees and their pensioners, what then do u expect to get from private establishments...Its less than an animal farm here! Until we start hanging these institutions bare on the wire, mentioning specific names as it applies, hoping blogs like this will help spread the message - good you have disclaimer, and make these establishments buckle up to save face. Until then, we may be headed deeper than we are.
What is this man saying??
Minimum wages in Nigeria only pertain to those in civil service
The man should concentrate on knowing more about Nigeria
If you enforce the N25,000 on the private entities, it will lead to a large disequilibrium in the economy and frustrate those in the lower end of the SMEs who are just looking for N100,000 profit per month.
What government should focus on, is building the economy and creating a stimulating environment for the SMEs to grow.
When the wealth of the SMEs increase, then we will experience increase in wages for those in the low income class
Even if I see da 6k job,i will do,av seriously searched for job since I finished my service last year november,it not easy,sannideborah14@yahoo.com,someone shld pls help me
Well... in as much as we deserve gud pay frm salary's.. we also av to b creative in our own way so as not to get dissapoint'd @ d end of d day..
Some earn lower than that and their employers still owe them.
And are you aware that an establishment that has more than 5 employees is meant to contribute in their employee pension scheme. Pension reform act 2014 - a country where laws are instituted yet never implemented. No recognised nor effective enforcement agency. Who will the struggling man complain to? The ones she elected into office to speak for her are busy stealing from her. He is afraid to complain lest he gets fired by the dubious and heartless employer and spends another decade searching for another job in the torn infested rose we call Nigeria. Of course she is not even aware of where to lay her complaints. Could it be addressed to the Labour Union? But where are they? He is not aware of them because they are busy seeking strike actions that will provide backdoor cash for them and like Boko haram, have not made themselves and their mandate known to the common man. Hmmmm
So they shld turn to bricklayers?...u think those that work in offices r lazy?.....do u knw hw hard it is to lay out good biz plans, strategize to make more profits......task ur brain so much u r doomed to constant migraines....become an adrenaline junkie?....u r fool and an ignoramus...and that is putting it mildly
What about those who work and don't get paid for months on end? Nigeria Labour ministry need to tighten up on a lot of the fckry that is going on all over.
It can't be true
