Missing Cynthia Osokogu's corpse found in a mortuary in Lagos

You hear some news and it shocks you to the bone marrow. Just got a call from Cynthia's cousin, the lady who went missing last month (If you missed it, see it HERE) that her corpse was found in a mortuary in Lagos over the weekend. The body has been in the mortuary since late July.

Details are sketchy but from what I gathered, Cynthia, a post graduate student of Nasarawa State University was robbed and killed in the hotel she lodged in Lagos by the same people who supposedly picked her up from the airport. This doesn't make any sense but this is what I was told. There's definitely more to the story. Even the family members don't have all the details.

Cynthia Udoka Osokogu, the 24 year old daughter of Major General Frank Osokogu RTD, came to Lagos in July to shop for her boutique in Nasarawa but didn't really tell anyone where exactly she was going to or who she was meeting.

Some people have been arrested in connection with her death. More details coming later...

I guess this one is international robbery, from there conversation they would hv rated her and kw her worth so in order to catch her,we need to spend on her so she will be so comfortable and relaxed witj our deals,so paying for her hotel wasnt a big deal cos they know they will get it back. And d moment she was with them,an area she was not familiar with, what an opportunity to strike out d deal.Frm d report the suspect said she happens to be there 6th victim with business deal, dat hotel must be closed down

This is far above doing runs,if she was into runs only God knows and this is not only matter for all d ladies,it involves guys also, cos have seen a guy also that trusted his fellow guy and told him his business deal only 4 his friend to take him to a path he never returned back, sometimes in life we trust someone deeply not knowing we r trusting d vry wrong person cos our emotion cannot be controlled, who we love, trust, share our happiness with, all this cant be controlled, weather u met d person on line or d person is living in ur neighborhood our trust can sometimes be destroyed by d vry person we least expected, what then do u say of a husband killing his wife or mother killing her own child or brother killing his sister.
The world is a terrible place,i guess we human should try more in controlling our emotion cos here in 9ja alot is happening and for that everyone needs to b extra careful.Meet a stranger in an open enviroment and a place u are well familiar with, tell a close pall of urs ur journey and exact place u r ending to.Always send msg at a particular time telling them ur progress and d area. You can only trust your self ,never u trust a total stranger with ur money,ur love it doesnt worth it.most of we all should be careful,9ja is TOUGH and pipo r desperately wicked, lives r just like chicken

Preserve our Lives

Due to poverty rate in our country, Nigeria, many of our brothers and sisters who get sick with terminal illnesses or close, have no access to medical treatment. With family members struggling to save the lives of their loved ones, the family is further impoverished. Only a matter of time before something else destroys such family. Many are forced to look to the public to help save the lives of their loved ones, many too young to die, many just starting out.Terminal illnesses are sad, painful, every second of it very long to sufferers. As people, as Nigerians, we MUST care. It may be anyone tomorrow. Let us put an end to this.
We know for a FACT: our country is wealthy. If we really wanted, we can build mansions on oceans for every citizen and not get broke.
We know for a FACT: Billions of dollars are looted every time of the year, denying citizen basic amenities, a chance to live a fulfilled life for their less than 100 years of living (even shorter in recent times)
We know for a FACT: Nigerians are one of the most, if not the most religious people in the world. If we really love and respect God, it's time we started to show empathy by being actively responsible, to show respect for human lives and treat life as sacred, to fight for the life of our brothers and sisters, and to the dying, make it as painless as possible by providing them with adequate health care.
We hereby call on the Nigerian government, with immediate and urgent attention to create, establish a separate account, with full disclosure and transparency to fund its citizens with terminal sickness or close (this would be clearly spelled out by professional medical experts) so adequate health care will be made directly accessible to sufferers. This would be a short term arrangement until first class medical clinics/hospitals are built all over the federation, properly equipped and staffed, so that every citizen with life-threatening diseases may have access to medical treatment and yes, Nigerians, with every hardship they go through daily, with life they believe there's hope. Let's try to preserve that at least.Private sectors may contribute but they will not if they do not feel obliged. It is the responsibility of the government to protect and preserve the lives of its citizens. Underdevelopment, further aggravated by government shortcomings, have led many into a state where treatable diseases have become death sentence. This, at least, should stop. It is somebody's son today, it might be your own daughter tomorrow. Please, Nigerians; people and government, rich or poor, let us give quality to life, let's fight for the lives of our own and treat the dying with the utmost respect.
Be kind enough to share this with all your friends, family, neighbours, colleagues. Even your enemy, we all have one thing in common. LIFE.

Share and sign your name.
Sincerely, Aminat Yusuff.

Guess u now know the story is real. The hotel people obviously deposited her body @ d morgue. under d circumstances that's what they would have done and of cos they would have gotten hold of a police report and probably cooked up a weird story as to how they found the body. Only God knows. Please we should all just be careful about what we say because no one is perfect. Even all this guys that are calling the deceased a runs girl, do you know what your own sisters or girlfriends are doing out there? of course u don't follow them everywhere so there is every possibility that your own peeps are into runs as well. My advice is that we should all be very careful and we should be prayerful. Trust no one because human being cant be replied on. Be watchful and cautious. May God grant Cynthia eternal rest and also grant her family the fortitude to bear this great loss. Amen..........peace out
