What would the world be without mums

Nowadays, you’d almost think the reason a lot of women become mothers is to join the mini-me trend on social networks. From matching hair styles, to dresses, shoes and lots more, the craze out there for new mothers is totally fascinating. But who can blame them; children are so cute, well, until they grow up.

Take for example, my mum who was totally obsessed with dressing four of us like Barbie dolls. We are four girls by the way and omg did we hate it so much!

But no matter the flaws, weird or ugly moments we might have had with our mums, it can never override the many fun, joyous times we shared and happy moments we had together.

The truth is, mums are simply a-amazing and very special to a lot of us. If I was given the chance to trade my mum for a trillion Naira, I wouldn’t (ok, I might probably think about it for a minute or two. Naah! Just kidding) I totally won’t.

I mean, imagine what the world would be like without mums. There will be no babies, crappy food, no warm hugs on cold nights, no clean underwears, nobody to inspire you to reach your goals, no “ if a boy touches you, you’ll get pregnant” preaching and the dads would have to be mums and we would have half as many wonderful people.

The roles of mums in our lives can’t be overrated and that is why we here at Three Crowns, take time out every year to appreciate mums all over the country with our “Mum of The Year” competition that seeks to thank mums for their selfless love, care, support and affection through life and its numerous challenges.

For this year’s Mum of The Year competition, all you have to do is buy the Limited Edition Three Crowns Mum of the Year pack at any store near you. Inside the pack, you’ll see a scratch card that has two panels. The first scratch panel on the card is free airtime for you to call your mum and say thank you, while the second scratch panel gives you a nomination code. Enter this nomination code on www.femininelounge.com/competition to nominate your mum for the competition.

You should also keep in mind that, when we say mums, we do not limit it to your biological mum but rather, your wife, sister, aunt or any mum who has been a motherly figure to you.

The winner of the competition gets an all-expense paid trip together with four members of her family to an exotic destination and runner-ups get to win fabulous prizes too.

Say “Thank you mummy, for the love always” just by entering your special code on www.femininelounge.com/competitions today.

Terms and conditions apply.
