Fuel queues have virtually gone-NNPC spokesperson says

According to the spokesperson of NNPC, Garba Muhammed, fuel queues have virtually gone. He also said that the three refineries in Nigeria are back in operation. ‎How is the fuel situation in your area? Any improvement?

Only nnpc sells normal price in my area fuel are still be sold for 150 naira. Though a little improved but almost the same. We have be hearing of those refinery working I will believe this when I don't see scarcity in future. Even if the refinery is working now it is the hand work of the previous administration Bcos common budget has not be passed in this present administration...where will they see money to do any work?

Linda, absolutely no need for your question. You just enjoy it when the govt is abused. You have a terrain where you blog freely, don't abuse the privilege. Go to Bangladesh and compare what it means to be a blogger. Join in the celebrations and not ask questions that will draw negative comments. Fuel availability is a good development, refinery working is awesome

Unknown said...

Here in Nsukka, there are 4 major marketers,.Total, Oando,Mobil and Conoil.....I can tell u as of now the, they don't have fuel. They probably deliver less to these major stations only to supply local stations to be sold at almost N200.this has been their tradition here.

That information by the NNPC is not true.We still don't get to buy fuel with ease in most parts of Lagos, where I live.
Also, a litre of fuel is still being sold for between #150 to #200 per litre in all parts of Lagos.

They should get their facts right, please!

Anonymous said...

Which country is he writing from? Here in Nigeria (Kaduna, precisely, where one of the refineries is located), we still have sickening fuel queues. And they don't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

When he's sitting down in abuja, ao wl he not say dat fuel queues had gone? It's only in abuja, come to ibadan n its environs, they are still selling at N130 and there's queue.

Remi Abioye said...

I hope you are not deceiving yourself. Even most NNPC stations (Dopemu, LASU road, etc.) do not open or have supplies. The independent marketers where queue is less sell far above regulated price whereas major marketers still experience long queue. We pray things will come to normal this MAY as earlier pronounced by the minister. God help Nigeria.

The situation is gradually improving and not totally gone as claimed.

Anonymous said...

There is still queues everywhere jor

True in some areas but after ajah roundabout axis sangotedo, Awoyaya, Eputu, ibeju lekki, then u will still assume Nigerians are suffering, I wonder why the petrol regulatory bodies have not been to that area, dey gonna catch many filling station still selling at outrageous prices. Some people no just want progress at all

Unknown said...

When will this deciet stop? That U don't see line on our stations could mean that we don't have d money or no economic activities that will warrant fuel purchase.
Pls make fuel available and stop premature statement.
We Nigerians will tell U if there's fuel or not.
Thank U

I prayed that the long queues never to surface again but the people in Delta precisely Sapele town are selling above pump price (Rain Oil filling station and others) even the DPR Monitoring team didn't help matters in Sapele

Jossy I lack words to describe your stupidity. So she shouldn't ask questions again? She carries any news about politics, good or not. Is it her fault that most news about this administartoion has been bad,.. apart from the army's victories against bokoharam? If the fuel queues have really improved, won't the present administration be showered with praises based on her quetion?? How is her question inciting insults then?

Btw, Why compare nigeria's freedon of speech to Bangladesh? If you must compare, why not developed countries like US where there is maximum freedom of speech? Just carry your bitterness and hatred somewhere else.
