The Senate which has given the directive for the institution to be reopened on the 2nd of May also promised to review the ULSU Constitution and to include conflict resolution mechanisms, such as establishment of Judicial Arm and Financial Guidelines, which shall be the prelude for subsequent elections into ULSU offices.
The Senate further warned the students that locking of the School Gate or Invasion of any facility during any protest (which had become the norm) is now prohibited and students who violate this rule would be expelled.
This however doesn't sound right to some students as they are protesting on Social Media that the school is trying to trample on their rights. They feel the Undertaking and Indemnity Form that the school demanded they fill and get notarized will prevent them from demanding for what is supposed to be right.

Easy for you to say. You can have a bath in your homes, with water that doesn't look like crude oil due to immerse rust of pipes in school( dem never change am for decades). Each diploma student pays 400k! Per head! Only unilag still dey do diploma. Common form na 25k, acceptance fee 25k! For a federal school?! Where's all the money going?! We can't drink water, 200N per pag?! From a school that PRODUCES water?! Now it'd be 300 am sure. We can't cook, ( no light), we can't eat(food's too darn expensive), heat wave day in and out ( cause of 21 persons in an 8 man room?! No hostels! ) my year 1-4 unilag never gave me hostel and am paying fees! First to pay outright sometimes sef. All they had to say in defense is a meager 'ehn take it like that na, nothing to do'. Promiscous lecturers here and there. Who go stop them now?! They'd proclaim themselves small gods. Lawlessness would be on the increase. But instead what do our 'adults' advise us to do roll over and play dead! And why won't they, when that's the policy theyv lived with all their lives! Over their own rights! Well I say No! No to injustice! No to bullying. And as far as God is living, and would continue to be alive, he'd give his people a voice. From those trying to stifle it and fill their pockets
