Inspector General of police, Solomon Arase, says that there is no budget for the deployment of extra police officers to troubled Agatu community in Benue state. The crisis in Agatu came to the fore last month after many people were killed by suspected herdsmen in the community. Arase said this while speaking on Channels TV this morning.

These herdsmen are really getting out of hand, and in the nearest future, if the grazing bill is signed into law, they will soon chase us all out of our lands, kill us in our numbers and dominate everywhere.
I think the government have a motive for allowing the herdsmen commit such hideous crimes with impunity. Let's look at it this way, the cows do not belong to those herdsmen. They rear the cows for rich farmers, the likes of Obasanjo and even Mr President himself. When they kill people and take over their lands, they do so not for their own gain, but for the gain of their bourgeois principals.
Mr inspector general's boss is Gen Buhari, Buhari have herdsmen working for him. Buhari's herdsmen do what they do for the good of the cows, the cows belong to Buhari. Now what do you think?

Since the government can't take care of it's people, why not let them all go their separate ways so the burden will reduce on the government. Useless people, i am ashamed to call myself a Nigerian today if the IGP can come out in public and say this. Cos no provision has been made for them, the herdsmen should go on killing people unchecked abi? When they defend themselves, you see army everywhere, bundling the farmers and taking them to God knows where.
