You came to that seat with no plan whatsoever that is why I said you are USELESS. Keep probing all PDP members till u die. How does that help the citizens? how does that give jobs to graduates? how does that change naira value? how does that create good schools. BUHARI YOU ARE A WASTE and this is the worst regime of my life.

Hehehe like you guys stopped Jonathan from his global voyage when the country groaned under BH terror , when the economy bled to almost death coz corruption was sucking its very blood, when the citizens cried coz job applicants were exploited & many died all in the name of recruitment, when the poor masses suffered coz the C in C removed fuel subsidy on a significant Dau like the new year.
Abeg enough! Buhari can go to hell & come back for all I care, as long as his gallivanting is gingered towards improving the fortunes of the nation. Its not his availability in the country that will solve Nigeria's problem, but his right decisions

Ms. Ikeji,

I expected more from you than a ridiculous platitude of "May we never enter recession". We crossed that bridge a while back and God has nothing to do with it!.

Typical Nigerian buried head in the sand. We expect God to not only give us the tools to enrich our lives, but also to come down along with some of his angels (if possible all of them) to come work the fields as well!

What more do we want from God??? Has he not blessed us with everything we need to make things work? Rich soil, no notable annual natural disasters (typhoons, hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes - like some countries suffer unfailingly every year). From the North to the South, we have such varying suitable weather patterns to turn this country into a global bread basket. Natural resources, unlimited and abounding. Again, WHAT MORE!!!!

But then, look at Israel for example, at least if you go by the biblical history, after some of the worst suffering imaginable, God still went and plunked them down in a dessert which is now one of the food baskets of the world!

In fact this PDP tweet is misleading! A good part of Nigeria has permanently been in recession. Its just so easy to forget that ever since the inception of this country, a large swath of the population were surviving on less than 500 a day with no basic necessities of life.

Now the recession has completely decimated the middle class and created aa greater divide between the classes. Without even writing an epistle on the ongoing agony in the country, I ask you the reader to take minute and look back the past 12 months as compared to the past couple of years - How many people have come to you for help who would not have before? Do you see the number of parents pulling kids out of school because they can no longer afford fees? Do you find yourself packing small bags of rice and gari to give out because there's just no money to give? Instead of taking bus from Ikeja under bridge to Oregun, you walk to Allen (halfway or all the way!) before you can afford to take the bus? At least before, eating was 1-0-1 (or at the very least twice a day. Now it 0-0-1 or 0-1-0 (any combination thereof, once a day is all that's possible). How many of your friends have been fired or looking for a job for the past 3yrs? Don't even get started on graduates, 3, 4 yrs now, still looking for a job!!

And on it goes!

In a country of 170 million, where 140 million live well below the western definition of the poverty line (believe me this western definition is way generous) Recession seems too mild a word for what is going on and where we seem to be heading.

Nigeria will always get what it deserves. We voted and got what we voted for. Now we must own it because we asked for it. And of course, God been an impartial being, did say ask and ye shall receive, Seek and ye shall find, Knock and the door shall be opened unto ye!

We asked and sure got it!

After looking the length and breadth of this country, we believed this was the best we must have. And so we sought him out, though we did not have to look too hard.

And finally, after 4 trial knocks, we threw that door wide open and yelled come right in!

I wish us all a better day today than yesterday.

You mean depression. We are already in recession with dollar heading to N500. Buhari this is a time of khaki shorts and not babanriga for you and all your government. Bend down and work. Get the country and the economy moving. Set the place straight. Appointing media advisers to sit on all the blogs and spew out your useless propaganda instead of working. It is almost a year since you came to power an you have pushed Nigeria into a pit
