Photos: US Congress women host 6 girls who escaped from Boko Haram captivity

US Congress women led by Representative Frederica Wilson yesterday June 10 met with 6 Nigerian girls who escaped from Boko Haram captivity. The Congress women all wore red which is the color code for the Bringbackourgirls campaign.

They later filed outside the congress building carrying placards with the message"Bring Back Our Girls". Some Congress men also came out to lend their voices. More photos after the cut...

#ChibokGirls Never to be forgotten.
Where are we from? Chibok!
When should we stop? Not untill our girls are back alive.
What is our core value? Humanity!
The fight for the Chibok girls is the fight for the soul of Nigeria.

God hear our cry, and let our prayers come up to you. If there are girls being held captive anywhere, not only Chibok girls, even girls forced into early prostitutions, please grant them divine freedom. Amen.

You can remove the girl from chibok but u can never remove the chibok from the girl. I think dey r chibok girls and remember they've escaped a long time ago. See all their faces abeg. Too dark for a girl who have lived in d city all her life. Anyway, happy for den o.

Anonymous said...

Dear Ignorant people denying that these are not the chibok girls, when you are exposed to a good diet and good cosmetic products, you get cleaned up. These girls have been out of chibok for about a year now so you can't expect that they would remain the same.

Anonymous said...

Make una stop to dey mumu. This girls must be really from that part of the country because of their complexion people from Adamawa(former Gongola) and almost the entire north eastern Nigeria are mostly very dark. And it is these ur mindsets as a people that does not believe anything good will make this country to still be backward. Let's thank God for their lives it might not necessarily be chibok Boko Haram has wrecked a whole lot of havoc in the whole north east from yobe to maiduguri to yola, bauchi you name it. Those towns have become ghosts land already deserted. You can only be in the north to know the extent of damage.
