"Accordingly, the Kaduna State government has announced the restructuring of its ministries from 19 to 13. This is intended to cut costs, spur efficiency and improve service delivery,” the statement read.Governor El-Rufai in the statement stated that the Commissioners that will be appointed for the ministries will have a certain number of aides they will work with. The statement also added that the state Ministry of Lands, Survey and Country Planning has been moved to the office of the Governor while the Ministry of Rural and Community Development has been moved to the office of the deputy governor of the state.
It also added that the Ministry of Information has been decentralized and that every Ministry in the state is now to have a Public Relations officer whose responsibility it will be to inform residents of the state about the developments in their various ministries.
