New US law would force the federal government to treat marijuana like alcohol

On Thursday, March 30, 2017, a new set of bills was introduced in the U.S. Senate and House that would drastically reform the way marijuana is regulated at the federal level and allow state-legal marijuana programs to move forward without federal intervention.
The bill was Introduced by Sen. Ron Wyden and Rep. Earl Blumenauer, the legislative package would remove marijuana from the Controlled Substance Act’s list of most dangerous drugs and set up a federal framework for regulating it.

The lawmakers say this would close the gap between federal and state-level marijuana policy, keep people out of jail for minor drug offenses and allow marijuana businesses to thrive.
“As more states follow Oregon’s leadership in legalizing and regulating marijuana, too many people are trapped between federal and state laws, it's not right, and it’s not fair" Blumenauer said in a statement.

Am so sorry the world is moving to an end.Alot of countries are out to legalize marijuana. This will increase madness in the society and more crimes. May God bless them.

It is a pity that we always think we know what is right even if we are apparently ignorant.
While, this is a topic about hard drugs, and the popularity and acceptance being given to it. I cant but trace this undue acceptance to the system of government we practice. It is sad that the democracy that we have accepted is the one of many asunders in many potentialy successful policies.
We say we give credence to democracy because it gives power to the people, gives them liberty and freedom. But we seems not to be aware that Africa has its peculiarities, and if we're gonna adopt democracy, it should be an African democracy. Africa had a system in place, and its our own democracy. The kings maybe overlords but there was popular participation and obeisance to the king was not forced, it was conceived as a necessary believe, we had thus system and it worked but today everything is upsy dupsy, we have democracy yet the weak and poor have no liberty, only the rich who can afford lawyers own it. The only thing we get is incessant campaigns against normalcy. Democracy fights with a loud voice of LLGBT and now hard drugs?
No suprise, if tomorrow some gangsters rise up and campaign against the status quo

Hello have u seen some one that has gone mad or abuses his family or wife that use marijuana , have u seen a person that crashed his car due to the use of marijuana , have u seen any one that has cancer of the lungs for using marijuana ... but people that abuses alcohol and cigarettes are candidate for such , from my own research alcohol and cigarettes are the worst of the three but they are legal in most countries .

Will you keep quiet? Research about countries that have legalized marijuana and see how it has helped their economy, reduced crime only to mention but few, you don't smoke marijuana and you say it make people mad? All your Nigerian musicians you adore smoke marijuana, your stars, your law makers, politicians, pastors and bishops all smoke marijuana, don't say what you don't know because I smoke marijuana and I get sense pass you.

Alcohol is even more dangerous than weed. It is very hard to overdose with weed but with alcohol, it is too easy to get drunk and misbehave. Amsterdam has one of the lowest crime rates in the world and weed is legal there. get a bigger penis here

Maybe someone needs to tell you marijuana is medicinal. It is a natural plant created by God. Mind you have you ever seen someone run mad due to use of marijuana. There is no recorded death of marijuana. Better go and detour research.
