Rockstar shines in new photoshoot

Uchenna Charles Ejike is not new to the Nigerian music industry. After his first album “Live from within” released in 2009, the artiste now known as “RockStar” is back.


Many who know him will remember him as Uchie the African RockStar. The grandson of Maj. Gen. Aguyi Ironsi, RockStar says music chose him and being creative musically is the only way he can truly find fulfilment.

However, a new name isn’t the only thing he’s bringing to the table. Back with a fresh sound and new image (seen in this photoshoot), RockStar is determined to make stronger mark this time around. His new single “Full-stop” features a famous rapper friend of his, Ikechukwu (who also wants to be known now as Ike-god) and the catchy song is already picking up steam on radio stations across Lagos.

So, to further buttress his intentions, RockStar releases a fresh set of pictures. Photographed by August Udoh, a favourite among celebrities musicians. Uchie says “it is important people see my growth not just creatively but physically as well”. I’m a lot different from the Uchie people knew back then. I needed pictures to also convey that”.

With a couple international collaborations already in the works for the dance hall crooner. Uchie says with his current pace and passion, an E.P is not far behind.
