That's the problem with modern day christianity and this is the primary reason why the Church is almost completely circular. The craze for prosperity. We have turned our gaze away from the master to the things of this life. We are seeking the hand of God rather than his face, when clearly the bible states that our focus should not be earthly. Colossians 3:2 "Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth".

Then, there is the ministry of the Grace of God through Jesus Christ where all you need to do is believe that Jesus died for you and that your sins- past, present and future - are forgiven. Just ask according to His will and you shall receive. This Grace even makes you righteous. The Holy Spirit leads you to ask according to his will. Please stop stressing yourself, believe and enjoy God's perfect grace. When Jesus was on earth, none of the people that enjoyed his miracles had to fast and pray before they received from Him. There is also no record of any believer fasting and suffering themselves in the New Testament in order to receive from God. So why do you have to?

I totally disagree. I say Mid night prayers but not everyday. And so many good things have been happening to me. A man cannot engage in spiritual warfares and he keeps malice with his neighbour or plan evil for his friends or does not obey the laws of God... he or she cannot get the results they want from their prayers. If you live a good life and pray @ any hour of the day, I do not see any reason why God will not answer your prayers.
