Photos: Trailer falls in a busy road in Port Harcourt this morning

This trailer fell this morning on a busy road in Port Harcourt as it was trying to swerve land. Luckily no life was lost. Aren't there people/agencies to inspect these containers before they hit the road?

More to the point, why are these big monsters allowed to pass through a major city??? Have the authorities in Port Harcourt given any thought to the idea of building a separate tunnel for trailers and lorries???

Travel the major highways in this country and you will find carcasses of trailers lying about. They are just a menace to the society.

Road safety should focus more on buses and heavy duty trailers and tippers plying the highway. They carry these containers without any chains thereby endangering the lives of individuals.
