Same thing would've happened in '08/09 during the global economic downturn but CBN used our foreign reserves and Excess Crude Account which had over $40m and almost $10m to stabilize the Naira. These monies were saved by Obasanjo's govt. This time around, no savings could be called upon to rescue the Naira. Taken together, I believe we should thank God for this situation. We've been too unserious for too long. Now is the time to reorder priorities as individuals and as a nation.
