Nigerian coaches blast NFF President Amaju Pinnick, say they deserve respect..

The Nigerian Coaches Association has blasted NFF President Amaju Pinnick over what the association sees as lack of trust and belittling of indigenous coaches. The president of the Nigerian Coaches Association Bitrus Bewarang said the NFF boss was unfair to Nigerian coaches when he said that the era of indigenous coaches handling the senior national team ended with Sunday Oliseh.

Bewarang who spoke on Tuesday in Abuja, said that
“The attention of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association has been drawn to a statement credited to the NFF President Amaju Pinnick that enough is enough for Nigerian Coaches in the Super Eagles. We want to say as an Association that that statement from the NFF President was the most unfortunate in the present dispensation. This statement is coming at time when the present administration is struggling to conserve the little foreign currencies that it is available, that is when the NFF leadership is thinking of embarking on a jamboree of employing a foreign coach who may not be competent as those that are based here at home.
Moreover, it has become very evident that the NFF finds it very difficult to fulfill all their contractual agreement with indigenous coaches whenever they are engaged, a situation they would not be the same when they employ a foreigner. We became more worried over this statement because the Football Federation has just drafted some indigenous coaches to go on a rescue mission to qualify the country for next edition of the African Cup of Nations, after which a foreigner would be appointed to take the team to the competition proper and probably the World Cup. This antics is unacceptable by our Association, as it has become a normal trend in country to use the indigenous coaches to achieve a target, only to dump them for foreigners at the end of the day. We reject this antics to the totality and implore the NFF to always give the indigenous coaches equal respect as they do to foreigners,” he said

I don't see anything wrong with what the man said. Our indigenous coaches are so arrogant & unpatriotic sometimes.Perhaps if we can find foreign coaches who knows the their value & paycheck is determined by their success, they'll never dare to disappoint. But even if they do, they won't quit on social media & insult the very people that hired em.

NFF is best unstable institution of Nigerian govt

Nigerians always come with problems. A foreign coach will be more disciplined and would not have behaved like Oliseh. Nigerians are too troublesome and have a slave mentality. The players themselves will respect the foreign coach more because he is white. So why blame the NFF? I have decided to employ an expatriate GM for my company because I will get better discipline and commitment. My staff will be better behaved too.

I support ur view Mr bawarang, pls we need a better Nigerian coach, bcos oliseh messed up doesn't mean every Nigerian coach is d same, nff also plays a part in dis mess we find ourselves, I follow Nigerian league very well and I see a lot of good, hungry for laurels coaches,y cant nff give people like Maurice cooreman, kadiri ikana, etc a chance to prove themselves, Mr pinnick as much as u place so much trust on foreign coaches I think d nff also shld b run by a foreign body.

It was wrong for him to say that. The problem with Nigeria is that we don't believe in ourselves

confused fellows

Amaju is a big fool maybe he thought NFF is the Warri stadium project that he made a big mess of. We are working day and night to rebrand everything Nigerian and complaining about our dwindling foreign currency reserve and the best he can come up with is this statement. This is very sad and pathetic. You can take a dog to the river to bath but you can't bath it to the extent that the color of its nose will change to white.if you like fall your hand for this appointment, nothing for you back home.
