its the reason pple dont report issues with the Police. My car was vandalized in Randle Avenue surulere went to Area C to report the case and my torment started from there. Diff teams will come asking for fuel money that they are investigating the issues until i left no thing happen. The police demanded cash to write a report that was require by my insurance. i had to leave the whole thing and repair my care and moved out from the area. POLICE IS NOT UR FRIND.

That's nigeria police for you. Thief broke into my store sometime and I arrested him myself and I took him to the nearest police station but to my astonished surprise I was ask to go and get candle and fiscal note for them to take the statement which the criminal obliged by himself that he broke into the store and I told the officer on duty that it's not my business to do that and guess what he told me I should take the dude to my house, I feel so sad that night and the guy in question stated telling me he has been begging me since nah police chase us out of the station because I can't get candle. Lol

I don't know who to blame here. Often times, I pity the police because they are being owed salary. In this case, this is pure greed. My phone has being stolen countless times and I chose not to report simply because it will cost me more time and more money to get that phone back than it will when I buy a new one.

Nigerian business, police are not exempted from engaging in greedy side business to shore up their income. surprise is that they did not ask for money before investigation and maybe the car self is expensive for the guy's income
