The most painful part of this story was the response of the Police when intimated of the mayhem. My conclusion is that most Nigerian police themselves are criminals, that's why their instinct never tells them to act in such circumstances. Shomolu, Bariga is an Area in Lagos where the NPF should give utmost concentration. this Area breeds crimes of all sorts and its canker worm is eating deeply into the future youths of this hoods. A pending case of a raped girl who was diagnosed to be HIV positive occurred in this same Bariga. Something needs to be done.
Yesterday, they were in Akoka, they do this most times when there is no Power (as i gathered). Around 9 pm last night,we heard gun shots thundering through the calm neighbourhood. Peolpe ran for their lives. I couldnt even open my door to a strange guy who asked to come in. It was scary, I was sorry I couldnt help him, but what could I have done..the present security mishap in this country wouldnt allow us to be good Christians anymore. May God forgive me.This morning I saw broken glass on the every path way and on the street as i went out.
