4 people have been confirmed dead after a 5-storey building collapsed at Chisco bus stop, opposite Oando Gas Station in the Lekki area of Lagos this morning. Several others are still trapped in the building. Continue to see more photos from the scene

with this I believe the Government should properly look into the constructed building by private builders, for the use of inferior martials and co, see what lake gardens have cost due to low cost and inferior materials.
It would be real good if someone brought some sanity to the way reports are made this country, NTA makes the same mistake and Linda makes the same, The Ops of Nairaland does the same nit just snowballs along, ...reporter in reporting could we have the exact building...is it an uncompleted building, does this 5storey building house other offices or is it residential or commercial,...if it was anywhere elsein the continent(parts of Africa excluded) we would have the name of the restaurant, street, surrounding buildings etc. we must seek perfection from these our news men/women biko,...now 4 people are dead, so everyone whose family member works around chisco roundabout is thrown in to panic. The handiwork of cowboy builders who are notorious for using sub- standard materials in their bid to maximum profit and endangering people's lives in the process. Cutting corners never pays anyone - the landlord equally shares the blame for hiring unscrupulous and cack-handed builder.
it was an uncompleted building. apparently the rain last night had something to do with it nonetheless the company is complicit. too much shoddy construction and cutting corners.
This is one of Lekki gardens estates. They started adding 2 extra floors to almost completed 3-storey buildings. Now see what they have caused. They should be sued for this. Very sad

@Blakky...well said! I found out this is one of Lekki Gardens numerous estates popping up everywhere! This particular one is at the end of the road by Conoil gas station, opposite Oando filling station - 4th roundabout. That company should be investigated and brought to justice for this wickedness and share insanity! I became suspicious when i saw the ad "buy 2 houses and get one free". It is only a matter of time before other units they have constructed comes crumbling down... We do not need to loose lives all in the name of making money! Greed is the order of the day and it is a sad case indeed. May the affected rest in peace and God grant their families the fortitude to bear the loss...
