T.B Joshua fails to honor court invite, case adjourned till Dec. 11th

The hearing on the suit against Synagogue Pastor, T.B Joshua and his engineers over the September 2014 church building collapse has been adjourned to December 11th by Justice Lawal Akapo of the Lagos State High Court. The resumed hearing of the case was meant to take place this morning but T.B. Joshua and his engineers, Oladele Ogundeji and Akinbela Fatiregun failed to appear in court.

Counsel to the Engineers, Oluwaseun Abimbola, told the court that they were absent because they were not served with court papers. Reacting to this position, the Lagos State's Attorney General, Adeniji Kazeem said no valid physical addresses were found for the contractors, which he said was reason that the Ministry of Justice could not locate or serve the court papers.

The presiding judge ordered that proper court notices be served to the engineers within 72 hours, and advised their counsel to inform them to take the court proceedings seriously as their trial is of a criminal case. 117 people, mostly Nigerians and South Africans, died in the Church building collapse.

I am embarrassed with the comment read, THEY SHOULD LET HIM BE: the issue here is not Inviting T.B Joshua and co, but if the Nigeria court of justice will be bold enough to give justice in this case without considering who is involve. T.B Joshua & co should be serve with proper law system and must respect the nation to honor the court invitation. If he fail to appear than he must be arrested Than the court should bring the charges against them. If T.B Joshua is found guilty, than he must face the curses of justice even going to jail as no one is above LAW:

A coronal inquest that supposed to be a fact finding one, thus given recommendation to the government on measures that should be taken to avoid a recurrence of the SCOAN’s building collapse tragedy, end up becoming an inquest staged for witch-hunt by indicting the ministry of SCOAN and the building contractors.

I ask again, does a coronal Magistrate have the power to indict a witness? The Magistrate verdict on the collapsed building was mainly focused on indictment instead, of giving recommendations to the appropriate authorities on how to avoid and handle building collapse incidence. Why did Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe, did not consider those expert report which suggested that the building collapsed was as a result of controlled demolition, but upheld those contradicting reports from representatives of the Lagos State Government (LSG) that claim the building collapse was a result of structural failure.

Linda, before you encourage these people to die like chicken you should remember "touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm"

CHIBUZOR IGWAH said...

Prophet TB Joshua remember what Jesus told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent you. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. Whoever hates you hates your Father as well.

If you had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both you and your Father. But this is to fulfill what is written: They hated you without reason. (John 15:18-25)

Even Jesus was tried and crucified for whatever reason. I wonder why his followers will not want to prove their innocence 'if they truly are', when the incident concerned claimed over 100lives

Unknown said...

Hmmm

That just reeks of guilt, even if he is not, he needs to honor that

Anonymous said...

Fictitious controlled demolition!! Where are your facts to prove that? When LSG has carried out testing a on the collapsed building. Please allow the law to run its course
As to service of the originating processes on the parties, I read that they were on able to serve ONLY the contractors because of no address however Tb get address na??

Which one is free the man? People no die? Is he above the law? Abeg make e go answer for himself. All of u saying leave him am sure na miracle una dey find from his church that's y.else is he above d law?

Unknown said...

Nigerians are the dumbest people on earth, even the so called literate. They should free someone that technically made over 100 people die, no approved plan for the building. Do u wonder why the elite act stupid, its because no matter what and how they behave, we will still see some people supporting them. Tb Joshua should go to the court and prove his innocent if truly he is. Why did he try to bribe the journalist? I weep for my country, my people are so blind, religious sentiments every where. Nothing religious in murder, if u kill, u should face the law. Simple

Unknown said...

Nobody is above the law, religious or not. Go to the court, dont know why our elite fear the court so much. Coming from a pastor, what example are u laying for your members. Over 100 people dead, someone needs to be accountable.

Unknown said...

Royal priesthood or woteva u r called read it well, it sayz de wia nt serve with d hearing notice "mumu"

Maybe now you'll stop publishing straight press releases from his people. He should be held accountable.
