The man, who called police, said he heard the child crying while he was taking a shortcut to work through the woods on the outskirts of Chelyabinsk, a city in Russia. Police said if the child, who still had her
umbilical cord attached - hadn't been found when she was, she would died. She was rushed to the hospital and is expected to
make a full recovery. Police are now looking for the child's parents.
