Saudi Arabia Beheads three Nigerians

Three Nigerians were yesterday beheaded in Saudi Arabia. They had been found guilty of robbing and murdering fellow Nigerian, Omar Mohammed Adam. This was announced by the Saudi Interior Ministry and publicised by the official SPA news agency.

Mohammed Ismail, Abdulqudus Adam and Mohammed Kabir Ali broke into the house of Omar Mohammed Adam where "they beat him and his wife, tied them down and strangled Omar to death," the statement said. Then they burgled their compatriot's home, it added.

The beheadings in the western Red Sea city of Jeddah brings the number of executions in that country to 31 since January 1.

On June 10, London-based watchdog Amnesty International called on Saudi Arabia to stop applying the death penalty, saying there had been a significant rise in the number of executions in the previous six weeks. According to Amnesty, 15 people were executed in May alone.

In 2009, the number of executions was 67, compared to 102 the previous year.
Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking are all punishable by death under Saudi Arabia's strict interpretation of Islamic sharia law.

Well since we all know their laws, its either Nigerians there comply with their laws or avoid stay or visiting the country. In as much that I'm not in support of the mannerism of the execution, you may agree with me that those strict laws of Saudi makes their country saner than Nigeria.

Follow their laws if not stay away from their country. Those laws they have makes their country are better place than Nigeria. Why should a man kill his fellow man for his money???

He who lives by the sword, should die by the sword. they kkilled so they should also die. If this was applicable in Nigeria, crime wouls reduce.

Yep! Nigerians are at it again. Why can't we go to other people's countries and respect their laws? Everywhere we go, we take our bad bewhaviors and disrespect for the law with us. We think this is like Nigeria where people get away with just about anything! See now!

many people will condemn the saudis on this issue, but the big question is' will any of these critics like his or her mum, sister or wife rape and rob?. Therefore, let criminals get what they deserve. shi kena

I'm not in suppport of the death penalty but the "idiots" sounded their own death knell. In the first place ironic as it seems why would you strangle a fellow human being to death for whatever offence and secondly knowing the country in which they reside i'm sure they knew the cost if they were caught. so its a classic case of "they got their just deserts"

well, at least the Saudis run a tighter ship than Nigeria- here in Nigeria, armed robbers, drug addicts, paedophiles, kidnappers and ritualists complete their crimes and get away with impunity but at least victims will get a sense of justice under Saudi law.

sometimes jungle justice is what criminals deserve..when they know the punishment is death they will think twice, and law and order will surely prevail

Oh well...they did wrong by robbing and killing. But i dont support death penalties nor excution style killings. Nigerians hv it also "jungle justice." so hush ppl. LET GOD JUDGE US FOR WE ALL SHALL DIE ONE DAY. dont do bad, do GOOD...for ur days may be long.
