Have people really made any effort to learn what the religion entails? it is that learning effort they imbibed in UK that is making Islam grow everyday in UK with at least 10 people reverting to Islam on daily basis despite all the negative impressions propagated by some wicked sets of people about Islam. Secondly, the impression that is created that all terrorists are Muslims are very false and it's just a mere propaganda. Facts have it that only 7% of Muslims worldwide support or practice terrorism. Only 6% of terrorist attacks on US soil from 1980 to 2005 were carried out by Islamic extremists. The remaining 94% were from other groups. 42% from Latinos ,24% from extreme left wing groups, 7% from extremist Jews,5% from the communists and 16% from all other groups. A whooping 99.6% of terrorist attacks on Europe were by non Muslim groups. Only a measly 0.4% terrorist attack from 2006-2008 could be attributed to extremist Muslims. Reference (Europol report, 2015).These are facts. You can also Google "Muslims against terrorism" and you will see this. so, let's keep ourselves informed and educated and not just sit back and judge or curse. if anybody is trying to bring statements by distorting the Quran in other to show that Islam supports violence and terrorism, then u have a problem and you need help. We can see the exemplification in Professor Jega's attitude during election collation exercise. He's a true Muslim and thats what Islam preaches. Sad enough, it was even a Christian who is an Elder that almost brought down the roof on the day. I'm not saying Christianity preaches that. I'm just trying to potray how professor Jega show how a true Muslim should act at all tpotray With all these, I know some people will still not understand. well, the world is meant to be like that. but I have tried my best. @O2, Please we know there are several other terrorist groups asides Islamist radicals...but let's compare the likes of Isis etc and the likes of IRS of Uk...the havoc of both groups are not on the same level! I never heard the IRS deliberately kill and behead babies, go into concerts to massacre innocents, kidnapping and publicly executing journalists,Christians etc, throwing people of cliffs, setting people on fire, keeping female slaves,shooting people with rocket launchers, the list goes on and on.
