Nigeria has no single current case of Ebola - Health Minister

Dan Nwomeh is the spokesman for the Minister of Health. And above is the man who brought Ebola to Nigeria. We've contained it...hopefully it stays that way! See more tweets after the cut...

The OAU student has tested negative to Ebola...

Great! There is a warning sign of the Ebola Virus disease to all those flying out of JFK to West Africa, which I found out last nite on a trip from NYC to London .... Anyway chukwu and officials of Lagos State have shown a high level of orifessionalism and acted quick within the limits of their resources. This is commendable as highlighted by Adewale Madge-Pearce in his column in d NY times recently ..... We can also lend a hand to other West African nations in controlling this awful predicament ! And let us not forget to honour Dr Adadevoh.... Pls GEJ , rmb!

That's great news. It will stay that way as long as we all don't relent in our efforts in fighting the disease by being very cautious this time, not allowing foreigners come in without proper checkup, or even citizens travelling from one country into Nigeria. Also observing high personal hygiene and many other ways..

Looking at how other countries that were affected by the Ebola Epidemic fared .... Nigerians deserve commendation starting with Dr. Ameyo, Nurse Justina, the Minister of Health and so many other "silent and unnamed" health workers that did their bit @ the lab guys, the ward attendants, those who said a prayer ... God bless you all

Linda, dont let them use you to propagate lies. How anyone can believe anythg coming from the health minister is beyond me.They embezzled money meant for ebola containment and they feel the need to give masses false hope. GOD WILL JUDGE YOU ALL.

Not even in Port Harcourt? Pls get your facts right.

i want to also commend the health workers who put their lives on d line to save these ones and to successfully cure them of the disease. What you all have done is commendable. A job well done.

That is same question every Nigeria citizens should be asking. Besides, only in insensitive country like naija will u see a high rank govt official like that fool health minister talking about serious issue on social network. If he want to address a nation he's serving, why not make a press conference. It is absolutely unofficial and unprofessional for him to disseminate such information on social network. Nigerians really need to learn positively from those they are copying.

So that schools will resume, abi? Anyway, thank God for the good news. I hate to see this patrick suya's face for christ sake.

Seeing Patrick Sawyer and his daughter, I really feel for him. He seemed like a normal guy and a good daddy. Who also didn't deserve to catch this EVD. What a pity.
