The Federal government has directed all primary and secondary schools to resume on
Monday September 22nd. The resumption date for schools had earlier been postponed to
October 13th as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of the Ebola virus in Nigeria.

Hmmm how about Ebola. . Abeg oo
One word for the FG: Clueless!
Finally ...!!
GREAT!!! The kids in my compound are always getting on my nerves with their 24/7 noise and restlessness.
Are You A One Minute Man?
My siblings will be so happy about this news, because they been so bored at home all this while, but the question i want to ask is, have FG been able to curb Ebola,to shift the resumption date, with the development in port-Harcourt,PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE. Miss indomie says so.
So wat is now the reason behind resuming earlier? Has de Ebola been successfully retained?
I'm out. ***CATCH ME IF U CAN***
You guys are trying I must say @FG but u still have to try more for this country... Pray God be with our children. It is well! 1thes 3:3. BishopDammy#

What is the measure use by federal govt to ensure safety and the assurance that all the present victim gather are the only affected ones in Nigeria for now........I think a lasting solution should be provide for the affected body and curable drugs on ground in other nt to increase the numbers of carrier before schools resumption
Na wa! All because of the money private schools want to collect for September made them to put pressure on Jeg! Indeed! We have a weak president! Some of the politicians have private schools. If school resumes on October after illeya, many parents would be broke, and would be able to pay school fees on time.

Thank heaven!!! Now we the batch c corpers has a big sign that the camp is gon hold cos I can't sacrifice that 4 fun filled weeks for anything... INDIGENOUS LIB
Even in Rivers state?
I am so disappointed with the reaction of many Nigerians over the postponement of school resumption date by the FG. Many have forgotten that health is wealth, we need to see that the deadly EVD virus is totally contained before allowing our children to mix up freely in schools, because the younger the age, the less hygienic culture people are able to maintain.
Oooo No taught I will be at home till October I don't want to go to dat typical village NYSC posted me to *crying* it is well

Nigeria government are so stupid don't they know people have planned their calendar if they knew they will bring it down why didn't they wait a while before announcing that it will be on the 13th of October ....this is the reason why I hate this country they are not well organized in everything

This is Great News
So, have they contained the virus? Or is this based on pressure from private school proprietors who are thinking only about money?
What has changed since the earlier decision to reopen in October? This is what they had to say after the so called emergency meeting?
Last we heard, the virus is now in Port Harcourt, with the idiotic doctor (now deceased) happily exposing a couple hundreds of people to EVD.
It seems to me that the Government has, as usual, not put the welfare of its people into consideration.
I am yet to hear any serious justification for this decision.
May God help us.
Pls federal government should extend the resumption dates of schools especially in port- harcourt because we really don't know the number of people with this Ebola virus. The late Greedy doctor Ik made contact with a lot of people via Child dedication and his hospital, these people also has made physical contact with other people. Words on the street is some of these people are on the run. Let them curb it first before resumption of schools.
This is an absolute act of indecision
thank God oooooooooooo
Wetin come hapen? Abi ebola no dey again?
Better.
Better oooo!
Better oooo!
Better cos Oct is too far for Resumption.
Not good at all. Owners of private schools I can bet, has do greased some palms. This is sooooo wrong.
chooii!!!at least ma pikins no go dey ouse dey watch ben10 again LOL!!#just joking...arnt dey tchin teachrs hw tew curb EVD again???
Contained!*
Exactly my point. FG should park wella. Were they sleeping when they made the October 13 date? Some of us have taken financial risk with date in view only for them to wake from slumber and disrupt our plans. Naija is synonymous with instability.........
Lmao
I really REALLY do not understand this crazy decision. When the resumption was postponed, the PH situation did not even exist. Now with over 400 under observation and probably others unknown, they decide to bring back the date?!!! But why?!!! How do we protect our children if the situation is not fully handled. Abeg o! Health before wealth.
Really?
Lmao I thot na only me o, their disturbance na series!! But is it still safe for the kids what about ebola? *Nelly
This is absurd. So indecisive. I decided to get a ticket when it was announced. Lagos and rivers state cannot afford to resume till those under surveillance have been cleared. Not risking my child is not going back tillthere are no new cases for the weeks
Eze goes back to school! A disappointment for the kids who have had a very long holiday,
These private school owners are inhumane beasts. I shan't pay our return my child to school yet.
This is unacceptable! Government south's be ashamed. Our children's lives at risk at the because if some school owners. Jibberish
Corruption at work. If you are a parent in lagos and port Harcourt and you take your kids to school. I doubt if you love them
The day after the minister of health dais we had only one case left there was an outbreak in pory Harcourt. Is this the government we should listen to? Not I
If i was in Nigeria i will keep my children till i am very sure of what is going on. Parents please protect your children.
Nonsense, my child is staying at home till I am sure of what is up with Ebola. Those of u rejoicing , from ur comments don't have children, what is the disturbance of children compared to them bringing Ebola home? Rubbish.
Good news, thank God
Good news, thank God
Turenchi.....Is not by force to comment biko
And this grammar is coming from a graduate. Too bad
I cringe with all these rubbish grammar
Turenchi.. Dear lord!!!! If english is so hard then type in pidgin. Haba???
The was they "has greased" your grammar
Ridicule
Ur child can be exposed to ebola whether at home or sch. Teach them the things to do to protect themselves in sch and allow them to resume. Puting our lives on hold because of ebola is like accepting defeat
hahHaha! too funny.
What do U expect, when U are living in a barrack.
lol some students must hav plan dere remainig 4weeks 2 b marvelous but sorry 4 dem all if u re far beta come back and go 2 school ................
Chai! I don take my child school fees pay for house rent! FGN, diariz God oh! Anyway my son will not resume till I receive my September salary! *sobs*.
NIGERIA!!! FG HAS YIELDED THE PRESSURE OF PRIVATE SCHOOL OWNERS! Hmmm! NIGERIA IS OFFICIALLY A FAILED STATE! CAN THE YOUTHS FIND A WAY TO GIVE OUR VOICES ALREADY! THEY ARE GOING TO KILL OUR KIDS WHILE THIERS ARE NOT SAFE ABROAD!
ok
decision taken
BORN TO SHINE!!!!
Me 2...arrrrghhhhhh!
Why can't the govt be consistent, why all this ups and downs...
We should send our kids back to school when our clueless govt is yet to curb the spread of a deadly virus. My "eye" goes nowhere, Labour dey pain
Hahaha.this is very funny.
Lol
It is so obvious that he went to school for fun.
how senseless when ebola is in town. even if they dont go to school tii next year.
They want the diease to spread and next you will shouting jesus meanwhile prevention is the only cure nigerins have
Very clueless. M sure 1 idiot dt owns a private schl must hv bribed them to reopen even wit d spread of EVD n dis children r d most vulnerable.. I tire 4 dis country sha
Looking for blog visitors aunty eya?I thought you said lib is full of immatured kids?fear god.
Can d Ministers of Health and Education who claim to have contained Ebola feel free to shake hands with people now ? If not, y then put the lives of these innocent children who mingle freely at risk for reasons centred around greed? Do these people have children schooling in Nigeria under d age of ten? These people are heartless! What's d hurry about when even WHO has issued a warning dat d outbreak in PH may be worse than dat of Lagos. Y not wait and see if any new cases will spring up? Only a living child can get educated. Daft people.
What is all dis,hw cn we protect our children frm dis virus
Anon 7:58 u sound stupid, u don't av a child I know, wat does children know? Do u know dat any child dat brings ebola to one school, d whole school is in trouble?and d kids will take d disease to dere various homes,u can teach and adult, but how can a little child not touch and play with their mates in school?inocently? Soo shup up, wait till u av kids, den u can contribute here
my kids aint going nowhere.
Is Ebola contained now ? FG ?
Isn't it rather obvious??? It is well ooo
Isn't it rather obvious??? It is well ooo
Has EBOLA ended?? has the useless professors bk there come up with a vaccine? if these kids can't take care of themselves, if they get infected it would be horrible.
That is how they insult Linda and her blog, thinking it will give them traffic not knowing that Whim Gid has blessed.....
The aunty is even bleaching and very ugly too.
I'm not surprised with this announcement as the presidents baby mama owns aduvie schools.what sort of irresponsible decision is this?why put our kids health at risk just to satisfy your baby mama?
God will provide for you even before the term resumes. Amen
I think d government is nt thinking well
