Let talk about the changes in our airports, for those who travel often; you will agree that there has been a face lift of some major airports in Nigeria
As time has shown, a lot of things do go bonkers in Nigeria. It is commonplace to, in this country of ours, blame any and everything that goes wrong, on officials in government, and this sometimes overshadows the good and the change that is being effected by some of them in office.

Dear LIB Readers: I need your advice

From a male LIB reader
Hi Linda, I need advice from your blog readers. And no, my story is not made up. It’s for real, actually very real. I am a top executive of a very successful conglomerate my father founded. I resumed the job early this year when I returned from the U.K after completing my MBA.
As a result of my job, I usually find myself frequenting places I ordinarily wouldn’t want to- Ikoyi club, society weddings, conferences, etc. I’m a geek for the most part, and something of a recluse. I’d rather stay in my house at the end of day and watch series of ‘Family Guy’ or ‘Spartacus’, ‘House’ or any of my other favorite series. When I became Deputy CEO of the company, I realized that I had to start hanging out at these places to build a social circle, mostly for business reasons. I am not a very sociable person, but with the help of my more outgoing cousins, I’ve been able to build a pretty decent network of Lagos ‘big boys’ between January when I returned and now.

Obama Responds to Nicki Minaj Endorsing Mitt Romney

Last week Nicki Minaj endorsed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in a rap on Lil Wayne's new mixtape. In an interview with Power 95.3 in Orlando, President Obama was asked what he thought about Nicki Minaj endorsing Mitt Romney, and below is what he said:
"I'm not sure that is actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that. But, she likes to play different characters. So I don't know what's going on there."
Listen to it yourself after the cut...

Damilola Adegbite quits Tinsel

After four years of playing Telema Duke in the hit M-Net TV soap, Tinsel, Damilola Adegbite's management today announced her exit from the TV series. They didn't say why she left other than 'it was a professional career decision that had to be made' and they also didn't say if she would be replaced on Tinsel.

Despite leaving Tinsel, Damilola still plans to pursue her acting career, probably join Nollywood full time.

Another student shot dead: RIP Wunmi Adebayo

This time it's a female student of Tai Solarin University of Education. According to classmates and friends of the slain student who sent the story to me, Wunmi Adebayo (pictured above) was shot dead last night at a male friend's house at Golden Estate in Ijebu Ode, Ogun state.

The 200level student was visiting the friend when they were attacked by armed robbers who robbed them and shot her in the face because she fought them off when they tried to rape her.

The 21 year old was buried today at Ijebu Ode according to Islamic rites. Her friends say she was very jovial, friendly and kind hearted. Her candlelight procession will hold tomorrow at skyfield in Lagos.

I have a photo of her corpse but it's probably not necessarily to put here. May her soul rest in peace...amen!

Kanye watched Kim's sex tape while sleeping with other chicks -TMZ

A TMZ report...:-) Read it below...
Before Kanye West was nailin' Kim Kardashian ... he used to nail other chicks while watching Ray J nail Kim Kardashian. Multiple sources with first-hand knowledge of the situation tell us ... Kanye used the Kim K sex tape in the bedroom to get him in the mood ... and it always worked.
As we previously reported, Kanye has had a thing for Kim dating back several years ... and even tried to get her to break up with Reggie Bush in 2009 so they could get together.
We know he loves the sex tape ... he even raps about it on his upcoming album. Now, Kanye doesn't need the sex tape anymore ... he has the real thing ... and once again, Ray J becomes irrelevant.

Dear LIB Readers: Maximus needs your advice

If you read comments on LIB, then you should know the name Maximus. She's been MIA on the blog for a bit because she just had a baby. Now she needs advise from you all on a pressing issue. See her mail below...
Dear LIB readers, I am MAXIMUS ™   I am of mixed parentage (German Nigerian). My husband is mixed as well (Russian Nigerian). My hubby HATES being Nigerian! When people ask him where his ‘Black’ is from, he denies being Nigerian; He claims being African American or West Indies.
When we had our first baby, she was white as hell! She had no single trace of black in her. I was very unhappy while my husband on the other hand, seemed quite happy that God was gradually wiping away all the Naija from his blood line. He kept talking about how his kids will never marry Nigerians ‘cos we have a very bad reputation world over especially in America where we live.

Air Nigeria passengers stranded for hours in London, asked to buy Aviation Fuel

Over 190 Air Nigeria passengers arrived Gatwick Airport 8:30 yesterday morning to fly back home ...and for 8 hours, they were stranded at the airport. The travelers were informed of lack of 'fuel' to fly the aircraft to Lagos, and were told to contribute extra £40 each for purchase of 'Aviation Fuel!

Eventually, the plane left Gatwick airport at 4:30 pm and arrived Nigeria at about 12:30 early this morning.

After spending extra hours before leaving Gatwick for Lagos, and arrived way past midnight, passengers were shocked to be informed to come back for their luggage!

A lot of them are so mad about what they went through yesterday and are planning to sue the airline company and it's chairman, Jimoh Ibrahim. Got this info first hand from passengers on-board the aircraft last night.

From tomorrow Monday September 10th, Air Nigeria will no longer fly...for at least a year.
