Actress Caroline Danjuma took to her Instagram page this morning to call out an Enugu based hospital who according to her is hindering the continued treatment of conjoined twins born to Mr and Mrs Ayeni on November 2015. She wrote ;
"My little angels are 4 months old today ... Unfortunately I have to speak up on behalf of this kids and the parents. The hospital they are in right now are bent on operating on them when they don't have the equipments. Hospitals in Texas and Canada have asked for their MRI scan and CT scan to see if they can assist this children but the hospital in Enugu has refused to give it to them , when I personally called a certain prof obiayo she asked me what the hospital abroad needed it for. What a funny question. The hospital went as far as publishing in the newspaper that they would need 5m for the surgery without informing the parents . To them it's all about the money . The mother has been crying for fear of loosing her daughters.
The hospital has refused to communicate with the parents but are only concerned with making a name and money through this innocent babies. Giving out their personal bank Acc without the consent of the family . They said we should keep the kids in the hospital for 9 months before operation by my research those babies don't need to stay for that long if they ain't sharing any organs. This babies are handed over to student doctors and that scares me most. I have decided to voice out cause I have been the one consoling the parents since I got involved but right now I am extremely livid at the selfishness and non caring attitude of the doctors. The parents can speak for them selves . Hopeville foundation will continue to do its best . Unfortunately the hospital in Enugu is refusing to assist".

There's always two sides of a story...but if ure sure of what ure saying then assist dem and save their life...
CAROLINE DANJUMA, what have you yourself contributed in helping those babies?
Shut up fool. Receive sense!
Mrs Caroline really really really since you have taken it up pls go all the way,you people are connected .who are we ordinary citizens ? I do strongly believe you have the keys
What's the name of the hospital?? Is the hospital holding them hostage?? They should just leave and find a way to make progress. They can go to a better Hospital and redo the tests and scans so they can send to the hospitals abroad. They should stop wasting their valueable time in that Hospital in Enugu. Nothing good will ever come out of it and they can put up a disclaimer on social and news media denying knowledge and connection to the money the hospital is asking the public to provide. Action is the only weapon that can be used to help these people.
That's very bad of them,it's common with our people, always making money with every giving opportunity. Aunty Caro welLdone jor. I pray help comes soonest for these babies.
Why r they refusing to assist? Are they mad? Abi they won kill them. Nigerians eeehhh. Tufia. Not as if they have the equipment needed.#Lindangwanu#
Too bad
Why won't dey take the children away and seek help elsewhere and inform the general public not to pay a dime to the hospital's account??? Linda take note!
God wil assist u, ur baby wil not die
Eyahhhh!! What a world
Rubbish talk, no one can operate on any patient without informed consent. What does caroline danjuma know that she's researching. Linda and her continous vendetta against Nigerian hospitals and health workers
What nonsense, they should take their children and leave there at once
Nawa ooh God be wit dem
Wicked Ppl
O my GOD GOD will see u through o madam ur children will be saved ijn
Nigerians always trying to make money out of every situation. Too bad! Thank you Caroline for speaking up for them! I hope the concerned authorities look into this matter and take it very serious.
I am Evang.mrs chioma Emenike and I reside in Enugu so how can I be of help to your foundation and to the parents. I mean what assistant do you need now this is my contact 08083444726. The lives of these twins are in our hands so everyone has to speak up to help salvage this situation.
Na wa ooo, why are they doing that
I'm impressed! For once its not bout haters!
Linda please report on this issue every day to expose the wicked intentions of the callous doctors. don't keep quiet. how could they, pls every organisation that could help should continue shouting, everybody help!
omo things de happen O O O
@Caroline, get your facts right. Before venting.
1; the babies are not handed over to student Drs.
2; the parents can sign what we call DAMA when whenever they like.
3; I will like you ask you? Why should a surgery that can be done in Nigeria be referred abroad?
Chai this kin case sef, may God see them through
I saw and I heard
Na waoo
Look at this riff raff stating that I called a ''certain'' Prof Obianyo in a disdainful way! Caroline Danjuma! Do you have any idea who Prof Obianyo is and all her contributions in the field of Pediatric Surgery? Do you know how many decades of experience she has in this field? I remember during my medical training in Nigeria, a certain twin came visiting at Prof Obianyo's clinic and I got to learn that they were conjoined twins she had separated in the 90's! That you slept your way to a rich man's bed should not give you the guts to refer to a noble woman in that belittling manner! I am a physician here in the US and I can tell you that I was taught by Prof Obianyo back in Nigeria and most of the things I know today, she taught me. Please be cautious when addressing people who actually worked to achieve their status today!
Madam...u can do it...u don't have to shout... U are capable of sponsoring the treatment... Yes u can
we needs laws to defend our children, our future. When will Nigeria rise up for her young ones
If ds is true den d hospital managements shd gt redy 4 woteva jst incase anytin bad happns 2 d babies ooo
Is there a reason why they are permanently in the hospital. It looks like they are breathing without any aid, so unless there is an immediate reason to keep them in the hospital, the parents should take them home while they raise funds for the surgery abroad.
That way they save money on cos i'm sure the hospital is charging them for their stay
Datz nt fair. Linda observe!
My God!
Must we carry everything to abroad if our doctors said dey can do it fine give them the chance we have stand we have to grow we have to practice we have to build as a nation and before we can do that we have to ta a risk as a nation to stand
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Seen
#LIB ADDICT#
These babies must not die. The Enugu hospital personnel must assist the parents ASAP. The lives of these angels are too.
Pathetic, i dont know why some hospital sometimes do abnormal things. you've done well Caroline with i think Enugu state goverment will do something to the case of this children.
www.thenationstalk.com
If I hear sey dose children die dey wl pay...wat rubbish
That is a law suit waiting to happen. But then we are in Nigeria. In more developed worlds, lawyers will be begging to represent the family even for little or no fee. In order to develop career or share proceeds from damages!
Who contacted the hospitals in US? Who in the hospitals abroad did you contact. Who is paying for the treatment in US? You know there is no free lunch in the US. Hospitals do not just release patients X-rays, etc to just anybody because they are "hospitals abroad". Have you spoken with the doctor handling this case. It seems to me you are just out for cheap publicity
Mrs Danjuma next time research well before trying to tarnish ones image with your ignorant desperation to ride on peoples back.
First the womans full name is
PROF NENE ELSIE AGUGUA-OBIANYO
A paediatric surgeon.
She became a professor of paediatric surgery in 1992.
She was among those that poineered the separation of conjoined twins in Nigeria which she took part in enugu teaching hispital in 1988.
She also took part in another one in 1993.
She has presented several papers abroad America, England, Tokyo japan etc on her experience in separation of siamese twins.
I can go on and on about this woman, A former provost college of medicine enugu.
And you that have not stepped you foot on 4 walls of college of medicine is there talking trash.
You are lucky she picked your called by the way who is that damn dr that requested for MRI thru a 3rd party without putting it in writting.
You know that in medical practice we respect our seniors, that damn dr cannot stand some nigeria consultant let alone a professor of paediatric surgery that has separated individual joined by liver etc.
You are there shouting as if she is your so called specialist mate.
You claimed not to have seen the scan and you are questioning the profs decision to operate after one yr. For your info depending on the mri and test result they can delay them for one yr and operate.
You with your contoversial life want to tarnish the image of someone that train drs and has been practicing for more than 3 decades.
If you insist tell the parents to go and DAMA and stop your e-rant but note those are in hand of one of the best hands in nigeria and the world and if she cant she would refer but you must do the right thing if you think abroad is better
Lord jesus
What nonsense, d parents shud demand for d release of their children or beta still jst carry dia babies n Waka come joor.
Whiteman mentality, abroad is better sense.

If you think abroad is the solution the do the right thing take the parents and go and DAMA.
You must be mad.
The parents have said they want to seek healthcare elsewhere. THAT IS THEIR CHOICE!!
They do not want your prof or whatever she's called to carry out the surgery on their kids? Na by force!!!!! If the prof is looking for twins to work on so that she can write another "paper" she should look elsewhere. The twins parents have said NO!!!!!
Na wa oooo
Y joke with lifes
#spritual
I don't get it, can they go somewhere else to do this scans? Like mecure to do the scans and test neeeded.
Would you give your own children to be used as trial in Nigeria? How many co-joined twins have been seperately here?
What class were you? I am Chinenye (used to be called BIG). I wonder why Nigerians will never learn. This is sad. Prof Obianyo thank you for impacting in me. Most of us in the hospital where I work here in the UK still owe everything we know to Nigeria. I didn't know she is still very active.
Just passing oooooh.....all I know is that let it be successful.....abeg fuel no d nija...
Stern, you always prove to be an idiot.
Do you ever take life serious?
Shame on you.
The parents have a right to take their babies abroad if they so wish and can afford it irrespective of the expertise of the doctors in Enugu. Why are they trying to force people to pay 5m to their account for a surgery the parents have not agreed to? They're only interested in the money and experimental surgery and not the interest of the family.
Release necessary documents biko.
We can't conclude until we hear frm d Hospital management. Bcos now I kwn d commissioner of health in Enugu ll be aware of this case now. So let's chill & see how it goes.
Well since you are dumb it is her foundation that has been paying the kids bills in the hospital . Idiot
The same doctor abandons babies to student doctors . 8 babies died under 4 weeks in her care.
Welcome dr. We have proof and videos of the rubbish you have been doing and evidences from other families we will publish it soon. Wicked woman . You just want to make a name for your self
I thought so too but they would need the records of the children from birth and possibly their progress since birth... I think that's what they want the hospital to release
MMI
Dear Chiugo, Mr "physician here in the US"... SHAME ON YOU! Clearly you were not sufficiently educated under Prof Obianyo's tutelage if you throw insults at an innocent good samaritan. Caroline does not need any more fame than she already has on her plate and there are more wealthy Nigerians who hardly care about the less fortunate - she is a saint. No third party need be involved in the release of medical records --- UNTH should have made them available to the parents on request, who can then forward the records to anyone they choose.
The USA is not the only place to have the surgery successfully; India and Cairo are also good alternatives as well as South Africa. However, for a number of reasons, any well meaning physician based in Nigeria would refer them abroad if finances are not an obstacle.
There was a time when UNTH and LUTH were the leaders and innovators of healthcare in Nigeria. Sadly that era is long past and now, only a handful of private hospitals in Nigeria can rated as world class medical facilities.
GOD BLESS Mrs Caroline, she has a good soul.
Thank you...
Caroline, FYI Mrs Ayeni never said that they are detained at UNTH. It will be proper to understand a situation before delving into it. Do you mind sharing the source of your research with us?
It is obvious this is Caroline because of the grammatical blunders in this write up! What do you expect from an uninformed fella!
Last paragraph is on fleek! ' can rated as' Education is important! Caroline please hire people if you cannot make correct complete English sentences!
What name do you talk of? Prof Obianyo already has the name! Name from academic excellence and accomplishments and not one gotten from sleeping with an old promiscuous man!
Always known Daisy Danjuma as a sit down look senator nothing to offer.Wouldn't give her audience cause I know she a novice in this and only trying to be noticed, gbam!
Nigerian doctors are appreciated outside lets begin to av confidence in them#madamamericandoctordanjuma
Anon 10:37 - You can start the vote of confidence with your own child's life. Let's skip this one for now.
Dear Chiugo
I am anon 9:40 and can assure you that I am not Caroline; I don't even like the bitch. I apologize for any typos but maintain my stance that you are a prick and Mrs Danjuma in this instance is a good Samaritan.
It is possible that your Prof at UNTH may not have sanctioned the actions of the hospital's finance department. Mrs Danjuma has raised an alarm based on what she has been told by the patients' parents and sadly, I am sorry to say that their story sounds consistent with the above-the-law attitude of most Nigerian governmental institutions.
She meant that the hospital is trying to make a name for themselves. In this case, I supposed it would mean to reclaim their long lost glory.
@chiugo you are a very insolent woman, why would you address someone's wife as someone that slept her way to her own husband's bed. Your fellow woman? If a man had said same, we would start complaining, Biko that you're in medical field doesn't give you the authority to Underate a mother, probably that was what the twins mum told her all that. She's even putting up a fight for a poor Nigerian. U who are you? Runaway! If u are frustrated over there, writing rubbish about her won't help u. She's comfortable in her own field, u may not be more intelligent that her, she' s just in another field. There are med doctors that are actors and bankers, each mall am with en own kettle. Don't worry Trump will soon send una packing, u shd worry abt that while we in 9ja tackle our problems. Tnku

Caroline or whatever your name is! The earlier you start respecting yourself the better for you! What makes you think that Prof Obianyo has time to come look at blogs! You must be delusional to think that or do you think that everyone has time just the way you do? I was Prof Student back in UNTH and will not stand you talking trash about her! Please publish whatever you have on her and we will address you appropriately and help you expose your profound ignorance!
Ignorance is the worst problem facing Nigeria not Corruption. Caroline Dajuma need to be educated on medical ethics. If the hospital in USA wish to have a medical report on the twins they should write directly to the Consultant managing the baby. Not you calling Prof Obiayo on phone to demand for it.She even asked why they are keeping the twins till 9months? Are u sure they don't share any organ? Don't u know the chance of survival is better at 9-12months? Nigerians should try and ask questions before they fall victims for all these people looking for cheap publicity.
At this point I will maintain silence! I have made my point and respect should be given to whom it is due! The ground that Prof Obianyo walks, Caroline cannot even stand! A woman of extraordinary achievement in the field of medicine should not and will not be humiliated on social media by an uninformed money miss road! I only got involved because I know Prof to be a woman of due process! I am sorry for coming so hard on Caroline because I could not just internalize the fact that she referred to a whole Prof Obianyo as a 'certain'. To achieve a status as a professor of pediatric surgery for decades is not a joke and should be respected by whomever irrespective of financial standings! My message however is to respect those who have invested their lives to save lives!
Prof Nene Obianyi was among the team of doctors that operated on me in a groundbreaking surgery when I was a child! No one should please disrespect this woman that helped save my life!
