Nigeria Ranks High Amongst Most Innovative In The World
A survey of 24,537 people from 24 nations conducted last year by Globe Scan showed that over half (53 percent) had previously identified an opportunity for a new business.
In the Globe Scan survey, a whopping 79 percent of Nigerians said they had come up with an idea for starting a business at some point in their lives, but only 27 percent of Russians reported having done so.
I am in no way shocked by these results. The average Nigerian is riddled with job insecurity left right and center. Hence, we are constantly thinking of alternative sources of income. If only the country had the right platform to allow these thoughts materialize into reality, then Nigeria would surely be one of the world's fastest growing (and developing) economies. God bless Nigeria!!!
