The INEC already got N87 billion for the entire election process, including voter registration.
Jega said that the fresh funds would address four pressing challenges: personnel (two), transportation, and consummables. He also said the INEC registered only 28.5 million voters by January 22 out of the estimated 65, 783,046 million.
Wonder shall never end!

Na wa o. psheeew
It is only logical for him to ask for more funds since the period of registration has been extended.
Logical? After all the billions that he was given initially? With all that money they still can't get things right. The money he's asking for is for slush funds. Laundering money to help GEJ perpetuate himself in power.
oleeeeeeeeeee....
I think it's hilarious that people complained bitterly about Maurice Iwu, thinking nobody could be worse than him... and lo and behold JEGA na criminal who cna't even get registration right
I don't like to insult people but this Jega na Barawo bansa, O- li- e = Ole.
This shows dat God Fearing 9ja are yet to be born into Nigeria system of Government.
Orin wo la fe kosi Gbedu bayi oooo?
I'm very sorry for myself and all Nigerians that are clamouring for Free and Fair elections.
Abegi na winch no make d DDC machine work well. He needs additional money to appease the gods so that the machine go work well in the remaining 7 days.
wich one is consummables again?
ONLY???????
Attahiru Jega needs the money to pay ghost workers. Attahiru Jega and the likes of him use every opportunity to enrich themselves. He's not indispensable. He needs to give itemised account of what he did with the N87 billion he was given. How much of the N87 billion has he and his team secreted to their personal bank accounts? Attahiru Jega seems dishonest and fraudulent. I see Embezzlement Embezzlement Embezzlement Embezzlement Embezzlement written all over this issue. He's holding the president and Nigeria to ransom. This says for Nigeria to get the person with the majority votes Attahiru Jega has to paid off with another N6.6 billion of Nigeria's money.
What did he need the money for again? BTW which personnel? Are the corpers being paid (abeg I´m not in Nigeria)? The last time I spoke with a relative in Lagos, she said in their area there was no ink and only one registration centre in the whole area. I don´t understand because people in Nigeria call billions as if it´s not money. At the end of the registration, I hope all the laptops will not disappear!
Folks are being unreasonable. Not up to half of naija's voters have been registered, it makes sense to extend the period, doesn't it?
for?
