Father flips car, runs half-mile to get to children in burning home

A father rushing to get to his children home alone inside their Kettering townhouse while a fire raged on the first floor flipped his car Wednesday morning, Prince George's County Fire Department said.
The father received a call on his cell phone about the fire and immediately rushed home. On his way back, he rolled his vehicle in the intersection of Central Avenue and Enterprise Road.

Store clerk hailed as hero for stopping alleged kidnapping

A convenience store clerk in Philadelphia is being hailed as a hero after putting himself directly between a suspected carjacker and a doctor whom the suspect had allegedly abducted from a parking garage.

Manveer Komer was working the overnight shift Wednesday at a gas station in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia when the suspect arrived with the female doctor, according to ABC station WPVI-TV in Philadelphia.

Death toll in Paris Terrorist massacre increases to 158, all 8 attackers supposedly dead

Photos: Paris under terror attack, 60 people killed in attacks in 4 different locations

At least 60 people have been killed and several people injured in terror attacks in 4 different locations in Paris tonight. Many people were killed in shootings in a restaurant in the 10th & 11th Arrondissement, a very busy nightlife neighbourhood in Paris. Explosions were also heard. There was another attack at the French national stadium where French President Francois Hollande was watching a match. He was immediately removed from the stadium by his security operatives.

The gunmen, who used Kalashnikovs, are still at large. The environ of one of the shooting is close to where Charlie Hebdo shootings occurred in January. 60 individuals are reportedly being held captive in a concert hall. More details later...

Davido robbed in South Africa today

Music superstar Davido was robbed in South Africa this evening as he landed in the country. According to a source who spoke with LIB, Davido and his manager Kamal landed in SA and were on their was from the airport to their hotel when they were attacked by two armed men. Their belongings including a Rolex watch and a passport was stolen. Thankfully, Davido and his manager are okay. Thank God for life!

During his visit to Adamawa state earlier today, President Buhari visited soldiers in the state who are fighting Boko Haram. During his visit, Buhari honoured three soldiers who sustained serious injuries in the ongoing operations against the terrorists with the Purple Heart medal for gallantry. Buhari said that the honour to the three wounded soldiers was in appreciation of their heroic contributions to the ongoing effort by the Nigerian Armed Forces to end the Boko Haram insurgency.

The woman who was attacked with acid a few days ago died on Tuesday, November 10, at the Federal Medical Centre, Markudi, where she was receiving treatment for first degree burn. Ladi Moses, 27, a resident of the old Nigerian Prison Service Yard, Wadata, Makurdi was reportedly attacked with acid by a young man suspected to be a boyfriend.


"We heard that her supposed boyfriend, popularly known as Baba, called her out of the house, saying he had something to discuss with her." an eyewitness revealed.

Pastor arrested and arraigned in Lagos after seven stolen vehicles were found inside his church premises

The Lagos state police command has arrested and arraigned one Pastor Felix Otulukwu before the Igbosere magistrate’s court after seven suspected stolen vehicles worth over N30 million were allegedly found inside his church for sale.

According to a report by PM news, Pastor Felix opened a church in Agbor, Delta state and was using the church premises to hide stolen vehicles which he reworked and sold to unsuspecting buyers. He was apprehended after his former manager informed the police of his criminal activities.

Gay priest sacked by the Vatican says he has no regrets, plans on writing a book about his experience

Krzysztof Charamsa, who was fired by the Vatican last month after he publicly announced his homosexuality says he has no regrets and is planning a book about his experience. The 43-year-old Polish priest also revealed he had a Spanish boyfriend.

     "I now feel better gay and more of a priest than before," he told AFP at a hotel in the heart of Barcelona, where he now lives in the gay district.

 

He said he felt "liberated" and "at peace", but still had a lot to say about the Church, which he accuses of persecuting homosexuals.
