In an exclusive chat with LIB, Joseph denied dragging the deceased on the expressway. According to him, he was driving along the road when suddenly the deceased ran after his car and took hold of his car steering.
The matter is currently before the Elelewon magistrate court."It was on Saturday the 13th of May at about 3.30pm. I drove out from MTN road and was about to enter the express road. I looked at the express road to ensure that there was no other car coming from the express road. I then maintained the service lane as I saw other cars coming. I passed the MTN office and as I was about to go past one of commercial buses parked along the road. All of a sudden, I didn't know that someone was pursuing me. Before I could understand what was happening, somebody grabbed me and the steering with my seat belt and the shirt that I wore. As he held me, the next thing was for him to hit me. I thought he was an armed robber. I was surprised. All my thinking was that he is an armed robber that wants to attack. From that moment, he started to drag with me. My vehicle was still moving. I said what is happening. Before I knew it, the next thing for this guy to do is for him to grab my steering and turn the steering to the speed lane. I was trying to divert so that I would not hit the pavement. That was the area that he now swapped the steering by force and then he hit the pavement. The next thing is for the two airbags to explode and they covered the vehicle. If you look at the vehicle, it is only the drivers side that was affected and the Tyre burst. From that moment, I did not know what was happening again because of the shock from the accident. Somebody just opened the door. When I came out, the ttouts there rushed down and started beating me. However other passersby came to my rescue, saying it was not my fault". According to him, police officers arrived the scene and then started shooting teargas. The police thereafter took him to the station and detained him for 11 days. "This is the true story. Any other story being said is false. I spent about 11 days in the cell before they now transferred the case because they said they wanted to take the case to court. The court granted me bail last Tuesday May 23rd. Even while in court, they sent their people because I heard that the guy was whether Ogboni or whatever. So there people came to the court and said that whenever I come out, they would shoot me, they would do this. They threatened me, threatened my wife, threatened all family. Till now, my wife is not at home because of the threat. This people, they don't even want anything from me. All they want is for me to remain in cell till I die. That is their aim. They are not even saying we should settle. The vehicle is still in police custody. As you see me so, I don't have anybody. I am not a trouble maker. I never find trouble before. I am not a taxi driver. I don't even use to go out" Joseph who assists his wife at her restaurant after he lost his job at an oil-field in Onne, denied knowing he scratched the deceased's car "I didn't even now. If I knew I would have stopped. I was moving at the back of one other vehicle. I didn't even know. Had it been I knew, I would have stopped. Why shouldn't I stop?".

If you not biased you "ll realized what happened showed signs of struggle on both sides, the deceased (may his soul rest in peace) was pulling d starring toward where he was standing which was at the drivers side and d driver was running away Wether to escape or with the aim of injuring d deceased or escaping from attack.this is not a case of entrapment of hand or finger because an entrapped hand can not have the freedom to move the starring and no man in his right senses will on his own scatter his own car as we see in the picture except something /someone stronger than him is chasing him...my conclusion I think the driver is aware he scratched someone's car and probably ran off only to find out he has not lost the person as the person had not given up on chasing him and then as a man put his hand into his own car he tried to take off but the deceased seem strong/maybe stronger than him which ĺed to lost of life and destruction of vehicle ,this is my simple unbiased analysis .only God in heaven knows the truth

It is sad when people hit or scratch your car and claim they don't know, that is the dumbest lie to say, even when your glass is up you will know not to talk about when your glasses were down. So sad you had to take this road, let justice take it course. Being rational, I will believe the accused guy the more because his facts are detailed and straight to the point in a reasonable way. He is probably a victim of hard luck. I pray God vindicates him if he is innocent. RIP the deceased guy. His wife's version was so one sided and I never believed it. No man would be so evil to kill a man he has nothing to do with in that way within such a short time frame as they described the incident and still have the guts to tell the mob that he is ready to die. NO! Truth is, the deceased took laws into his hands and being a Nigerian and a resident of Port Harcourt where broad day robberies happen at police check points, I think he did what every smart Nigerian could have done. I suggest he go see a spiritualist or either pray very well for deliverance and breaking of bondages from bad luck and problems. Story said he lost his job with an oil firm, I'm sure after this case his poor wife might either leave him or start putting him through the emotional stress of feeling guilty of murder if she isn't a good woman. The accused has been able to describe a more logical explanation to what actually happened.The deceased's wife's story doesn't add up at all. While it cannot be determined whether he knew he had scratched the deceased's car or not, it is very apparent the dead man got into what is called road rage and in the process dragged the steering from the accused. Anyways the court will do their job. RIP to the deceased....And to us all, a lesson learnt.
Deliberate or not ; you killed somebody already and you are talking about settlement? Let the court decided. Death cases are not settled out of court.

I believe this guy. The first story never said anything about an accident oR the guy hitting the pavement. It only said the suspect dragged him and ONLY stopped later so he could remove him from being connected to the car. That doesn't make sense. All he needs to do is wind down and the guys hand will be free. Proof in the picture above shows d car actually hit the pavement resulting in an accident.
Also to all those saying how will you hit a car and not know. Let us see the damage of the bankers car first. if it was a small scratch its possible he didn't know. If it was a big bash there is no way He won't have known period.

Its obvious the murderer thought in his frustrated state its better to run than to go spend money that he doesn't have in repairing Paschal's car but unfortunately Paschal got hold of him, Still trying to escape not knowing that his car will be damaged when he hit Paschal to the pavement and that he will be mobbed.
