Footballer Alexander Iwobi arrives Nigeria

Seems like England's attempts to secure the future of Arsenal star & Jay-Jay Okocha's nephew, Alex Iwobi, has failed as he appears to have committed to Nigeria. Alex Iwobi tweeted his arrival back to Abuja on his official twitter page hours ago. This means he has joined up with the senior Nigeria squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt this week and according to FIFA Rules, if the 19-year-old plays against Egypt, a competitive fixture, he would no longer be eligible to play for another FIFA Affiliated National team.

Giving birth in d UK is not d same as putting on d 3Lions jersey for a long time. He made d right decision. He wld ve bn used n dumped. Just check d list of those who chose England over Nigeria in d last 20 or more years. None of them had up to 10 caps for England. The most recent being Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Hope that you get to play.

WOW! Between the Devil and the deep blue sea he chose the ........finally! Great for him! I hope he won't be disappointed in the long run. May his lucky Stars be his guide.

Linda Lionel Zinsou the French-Beninese presidential candidate that the outgoing President of the Republic of Benin Yayi Boni in association with the French Government were trying to impose on the people has just towed Goodluck Jonathan's diplomatic example by calling to congratulate his arch rival in the 2016 Presidential Elections that held yesterday. Another major victory for African democracy and disappointment for the dominant powers.

This is not Alex Iwobi's first call up to the super eagles. His firsr senior call up was on October 2015, in the game against DR Congo, after that he was invited to play 2 or 3 more games. Please do more research and get your facts right.. Thanks..

You just sounded like someone who doesn't watch football, if he plays for English national team he knows there no future for him, do you know how many attackers play for England as a whole, he's carrier would be wasted on the bench, England they play only weti they shine @d moment, let them play Vardy and Kane, leave our Iwobi for us...

habbizzelle said...

He committed to Nigeria months ago, Linda. When he played his first game for us

Nope those peeps don't give a f**k about you. Playing for Nigeria would even put him on the hot market for other great European clubs. It must not be England thats all Nigerians know, they are better European clubs out there better than clubs in England and even in training wise to play better
