The convict was recently sentenced by magistrate Mrs. O. Otitoju after he pleaded guilty on one-count charge.
The
28-years-old was arrested after he stole a Huawei G73 phone valued at
N70,000 at the Church of Resurrection Anglican located at 1004 estate,
Victoria Island, Lagos, just months after he was released from prison
for stealing money from church offering box in December 2016. Read here

before the magistrate court, Eromosele was sentenced to 7 years
imprisonment with hard labour without an option of fine.

Where do I begin my story from?
It all started as a diligent student, focus and determined to graduate with a good grade so as to have an easy life.
My mum would always advice me then "Tosin if you can work towards graduating with a good result getting a job would be easy".
I remembered the sleepless nights, daily tutorials, times I would have to use my feeding allowance to buy books and materials that are relevant to my field of study just to achieve my aim of success.
It all began in June 6th 2015, a new beginning of my life. It was my convocation day. My mum had called me the previous week to ask what I wish for her to prepare for my friends who would be attending the program, I could feel the excitement on phone. I remembered me replying her on the phone, "mum I don't want fish o, please help me buy chicken and prepare little rice because I won't be inviting much people, thanks mum!"
I knew she was proud of me, I have heard her gist among her friends about her son being the first to graduate with a second class upper within her family but more importantly I was proud of myself.
Almost two years now, I have attended more than 20 interviews, written aptitude exams, traveled to 4 different states all in a bid to get myself a good job, but at the end I was always turned down all because a 25 years old graduate like me did not have 2 to 5years working experience.
What then is the reward of hard work and academic excellence?
I have never for once regretted nor blame anyone, not even the government.
I have always learnt in Life that "no matter how hard you find it to move, or the pace at which you move, just make sure your direction is forward. Surely one day you will get there".

We have different laws in Nigeria for various levels of citizens. If Fani Kayode can be walking free on the streets and still mouthing about but this has to do 7yrs for phone stealing
God will punish all the judges that allow the thieves that stole billions walk free while a poor graduate that stole a phone to feed himself is given 7 years!

Somebody will steal billions, he will not go to jail, this guy stole a phone and you sent him to 7yrs in prison...the judge is biased, besides, what is the pastor of that church doing to help youths in his church? Only to collect tight and offering.. it clearly shows the guy is poor and needs money. I'm sure if he had be successful, he will sell the phone and use the money to feed himself and people closer to him. I don't know where this country is going to honestly.

Pls people, how do we help this young graduate. If the sentence has an option of fine, can we assist. If the young graduate is given a job can he stop petty stealing? Is he too lazy to work and will embarrass people that will help him with another tantrum?
Can a superior court exercise a right instrument of law to lower the sentence if at all.
