Redeemed churches have been bombed in the northeast, pastors have been slaughtered and members have lost everything. I know of many members who are unemployed, some barely pay schools fees, hospitals bills and house rent. Struggling to survive, barely making it through the day and yet I see a jet, whether from donations, gifts, tithes or offerings, didn't Jesus say feed the hungry, visit the sick and those in prison, take care of the poor, the widows and the orphans. My Problem is not with whether it right or not, needed or not needed but with the ready axe people always pull when I man/servant of God acquires new property or decide to live in comfort/ luxury. If this were to belong to Dangote, would it have been a problem? If Ayiri Emami had bought it, or Jim Ovia, or Chief Adeleke, or even Tompolo/ Asari Dokubo, would you guys have brought out the same axe? if it were Sultan of Brunei's jet, a prince in Saudi or a mayor in Dubai would it have been the same story? (Yet all these people no even enter first 50 influential people in the world o) to criticize them? Now its a servant of God and they are prohibited from Luxury. Some would say the money could have been given tot he poor. If its done would it make eradicate poverty in Nigeria or in the church? Do you know how much have been spent for Poverty alleviation in churches like RCCG, Winners and so on? If you want to know how many churches have influenced the status of their members both financially and emotionally, go to their empowerment programmes (like Dayster), business Networking meetings and so on. Scholarship boards and Skill acquisition, women empowerment, leadership programme and so on. I have seen lots of people who are into either interior décor. today or catering just because of the skills they acquire in church first. Most of our music celebs that we praise today (which probably we wouldn't have complained if they has bought a private jet) first laid their hands on instrument in the church or even discovered their talent in the church. I like prosperity preachers. Obviously d aim of xtianity is not prosperity - any one of these pastors will tell u dt. But u cant take prosperity out of d bible. Its in every book. Poverty is written in d bible as a curse.
I personally believe d prosperity teaching is helping & is necessary. In a country surrounded by physical poverty u need to break dt hold in pples minds. Give them hope, let them aim high, develop faith. God knows why he does everything - Is there no cause? Really? Most young men & women enter these churches jobless, hopeless, wt no helpers, not knowing what they can achieve wt their lives. Most of them end up becoming entrepreneurs & hiring pple. Fact is theyre changing society wt d gospel. True story.

@moni king Solomon was blessed with riches but what was his end result? He idolized those riches and other things that came with it. So, I see lots of comments here criticizing the purchase of this beautiful Jet supposedly by Pastor Adeboye. Firstly, don't get it twisted, its the property of R.C.C.G, for the office of the G.O. Secondly,those who see it as wrong are just myopic people. I have no intention of educating anybody on the modalities of running a church as big as R.C.C.G, but I believe intelligent minds will agree it makes more sense for the church to own its own Jet in this age. Even Jesus said in my fathers house there are many mansions, and not everyone will get a mansion, meaning, even in heaven there is hierarchy. Enough said!

I saw this POST yesterday from Sahara Reports Facebook Page in which I ignored it for so many reasons best know to me. Some times last month the News was that E. A. Adeboye said he is richer than Bill Gate and this month he bought a Private Jet since May, 2015 definitely the money for Jet came from your Vice President, who E. A Adeboye prayed into office as the VP.
Just to remind you if you do not know, better still go to any Christian Book Shop and ask for "August 2015 Holy Ghost" held at the the Redemption Camp Ibadan/Lagos Expressway on the 7th of August, 2015.
Adeboye, right there on the Alter after his message. He begged the people in attendance to contribute toward the building of their new auditorium because he as a person is broke and they can also donate online through the church wide-site.
I believed this is what promoted him to say on Sunday 9th August, 2015 just a night later that "I am richer than Bill Gate" not because of the contribution if there is any on ground.
The people paying the Tithe, sowing the Seed and giving the Offering are not complaining but the tax-payer are really complaining. Why not invest much of your resource in getting those GOATS (POLITICIANS) that ate the YAM (TAX-PAYER-MONEY) to vomit them.
I am not siding E. A Adeboye but they (Wealth Christians -especially pastors) have their fault because comparing the populace of the churches all over the world, we have just 5% rich members against 95% poor member if not more.
And this is while devil is winning more souls to its kingdom this days, through the ministry of giving -those that have more give to those that have none and gain their soul.
Buying two jets from his savings since becoming the General Overseer of RCCG 20+ years is not a bad one anyway.
