Police arrests man for slitting throat of a motorcycle rider over fare in Katsina

The Police in Katsina state have arrested a 46 year old man, Ishaku Inusa, for slitting the throat of a commercial motorcyclist (okadaman) in Knakara local government area in the state following an argument over his unpaid fare.

Ishaku who is a father of two, was paraded by the Commander, State Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, SP Andrew Alphouse, at the Command’s headquarters yesterday April 20th.

Ishaku told newsmen that on the day of the incident, he had flagged down the commercial motorcyclist and asked him to take him to his destination. On getting there, he told the Okadaman that he had no money and cannot pay him.

The motorcyclist got angry and started arguing with him. In the process, Ishaku brought out a dagger and slit the throat of the Okada man. He then fled the scene with the remains of the deceased. Investigations by the police led to his arrest. Ishaku however says he regrets his action.
