Apparently, it happened in Malaysia, and she had been sentenced, and the toddler is with the social service right now....
The girl who recorded was beaten up by the same woman for saving the protecting the toddler when the mother was beating the baby, so she saved her self the stress and decided to record it after which she took it to the police station, then she got the woman arrested...

She must have really been pushed to the wall by the kid but nevertheless, there's a limit to how much pain you can inflict on a one year old..... As parents we ought to pray for patience and endurance when it comes to kids cos they can really push you to the edge and over....
I personally watched this video 2 days ago and i can tell you that i am still traumatised. However, like i said on my FB page and BB profile, i think we women/mothers can find a way to get this out to the relevant authorities in that country wherever it is. We have the power of the Social Media, so why not use it to our advantage.
This child might still be alive and can be saved before he is brain damaged, ,mutiliated or killed.

Linda why did u take d video down??? I really wanted to watch it. Since d woman was raped, I think that's her problem. Maybe by hitting d child, she imagines its d father she's dealing with. I think she is it normal mentally. If I was raped (God forbid), I would have an abortion instead of bringing a child to d world I would make suffer. Maybe she couldn't do that cos she lives in malaysia. I'm a single mother. My baby daddy put me through hell beofore and after my child was born. I hate him. Let us not hide and pretend such things does not happen in Nigeria. It does. The other day, i went to make my hair at a salon by the road. There was just one person there. She had a girl of about 18months.
Being a kid and naturally inquisitive, she was moving all over the place. The mum would shout and sometimes spank her. No problem.
However, there was a time the kid came to hug her leg and refused to let go. You should have seen the way she violently flung her away and the girl almost hit her head on the chair. She was so nonchalant even after people scolded her.I carried the girl until she finally stopped crying.
Another time, she moved her chair and hit the girl hard on the leg. I screamed at her but she told me to mind my business as it is her child. I was still the one that petted her. I was just wondering if there was child services someone can call in Nigeria.
I can imagine what that little girl has to live it her whole life. The girl was crying cos she was hungry and the mum said she doesnt have time. I went and bought buscuit for the girl and the mum threw it away. At no point in time did she even act like the little girl was still a baby.

Sick,sick, sick!!!!! How can anyone treat a child who is not even 1 yet like this? My Lord I am a mother and it just made me cry. I am happy that the law caught up with her, might be just 18 months but its better than nothing. Even if she was raped she could have given the child up for adoption. May God still deal with her.

I just seen the video. What she did was totally wrong, even if it was someone else's child. The baby was confused and sobbing her heart out. The woman should have been given a longer jail term in a psychiatric hospital. Maybe I'm naive, but I never thought an adult could do such to any child.
I'm unable to view the vid so can't comment but just wanted to say that it's unfair how ppl r wishing her death and what not. She is clearly a sick woman. Instead of condemning her, condemn the act and get help (old video though, so I'm assuming the case has been sorted). This is why I find it hard to condemn criminals sometimes. If these ppl were "normal " they wont be doing this. CLEARLY!!

My heart cries out for this poor baby. The event took place last year, she will be out anytime in Nov this year assuming she was jailed since May 2011. The baby probably is already 1 yr old by now. I'm thinking to myself what will happen once she's out frm jail? Will she be cruel to her baby again? :(
