Governor Fashola Spars With Sahara Reporters in London (video)

I find the reporter from Sahara Reporters quite rude. Watch to the end and tell us what you think...

Sounds like some Nigerian reporters don't even have manners in the way they ask questions..... They can be so rude especially the person who is trying to be confrontational in this video. Learn from the Western world reporters please.

Fashola was absolutely right. How can you, a reporter, make an allegation without profound facts, do they work at all, do they research at all, even if the gov. was a crook, he just gave him an opportunity to make a mess of the damn paper, I will never take seriously anything sahara writes henceforth.

There's a fire incident that happened in lagos, this year, killed 30 people, you know that, correct that.. damn too confrontational, like he had something against the gov.

You have to hand it to Governor Fashola- he answered the questions calmly and in a brilliant manner- what the hell was a Sahara reporter doing at the LSE, questioning Fashola like he was a criminal? The standard of journalism in Nigeria these days leaves a lot to be desired- no thorough investigation, newspapers littered with poor spellings and grammatical errors or simply copied and pasted from foreign newspapers. Then there is the fact that Nigerian journalists don't get their facts correct before printing- if this happens in the UK, it would be equivalent to libel

its a blog, not a credible news medium. dont forget what rihana said about bloggers, hence the guys total tactlessness, and lack of facts.

poster/commenters/anons,

what's the definition of rude ?

The idea that you can ask a question and be rude beats me.

If there is one person who isn't going to be star-struck, specially in Nigeria, he is bound to be construed rude.

Trappings of suffering and smiling...

What can be rude about asking a question ? And following up on them ?

/smh

My respect for Fashola just went up a notch, this man knows wat he is doing, people should leave him alone and let him do his work, he has a job to do, and i liked the way he calmly answered the questions. On the other hand that reporetr or journalist guy was too confrontational as if he had bif wit d guv or sumtin, i mean goin as far as followin him out of the conference room, i have a feeling he was sent joor.

Omoyele sowore of Sahara Reporters is damn too rude. He is not only rude, he is agitated and frustated. This is because he never expected Gov. fashola could give him a TKO (Technical Knock Out). He colleagues were even calling him to order in yoruba language telling him "Sowore iyen naa to" (Sowore thats enough).

I am a reader of sahara reporters, but Sowore's attitude's to the gov. leaves much to be desired. How many Govs. that travelled abroad has ever given sahara repoeters an opportunity to interview them. The Gov. spent some time answering his question yet he was not satisfied. Did he want the Gov. to spend the whole day with him?

If there is any issue he has with Fashola he should write in on his blog and I'm sure it with get to fashola one way or the other even though he does not read sahara reporters.

Interesting interview. Nothing odd in the questions being asked, but Fashola is not being generous with the truth.

Although, I must say, I like the man and I like what he's done to parts of Lagos.
