Super Eagles forward Osaze Odemwinggie is the Barclays English Premier League player of the Month for September.
No Nigerian has won the award in seven years. The last Nigerian to win the award was Austin Jay Jay Okocha with Bolton Wanderers in November 2003. Odemwingie scored two goals in the month of September against Birmingham at the Hawthorns and against Arsenal at the Emirates last weekend.
His all round contribution was also important in the Baggies claiming seven out of a possible nine points in their three matches last month.

it's soo sad that osaze moved to england at the wrong time. if he started his career here at the beginning he wud have been a top player in a top club...he is one of the best players in the world and his patriotism towards nigeria is just unbelievable...mwah osaze u r the best...i wish him all the best...i really like this guy and i hope he succeeds in the short time that he still has left before he retires...who know...he could become another zidane.
He won't remain at West Brom next season if he continues to be on fire!#The Big Four are already eyeing him!
