Sometime last week, one of Nigeria's biggest fast food restaurants tweeted this ad on their official twitter page; "Why eat your words when you can eat our meals" and "Special delivery for Olisa" with an EFCC logo on the ad, which is in reference to reports that PDP Spokesman Olisa Metuh allegedly ate or tried to eat a document containing statements he made to the EFCC so it won't be used as evidence against him in court which Metuh has since denied he did. But that didn't stop Chicken Republic from latching on the controversy and using it as a publicity stunt for their brand.

Tunisia imposed a nationwide curfew Friday as protests that coincided with the Arab Spring anniversary spread from the nation’s impoverished heartland to the capital, leading to looting and property destruction.

One die of Lassa Fever in Lagos
One of the three patients that have tested positive to the deadly viral disease, Lassa Fever, has died. The state commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris who made this known during a press briefing yesterday, said the deceased, a 51 year old who lived in Ilasan, Lekki, had returned from Edo where he attended a wedding ceremony on December 28, last year.
He fell ill and was initially admitted at Divine Medical Centre in Ikoyi on January 12th and referred to Mainland Hospital Yaba early January 18th and later died at 2pm same day before the result of the laboratory test that confirmed him positive of Lassa Fever was received.

Four men from Brooklyn trying to fly home together after a few days in Toronto last December have filed a $9 million federal lawsuit alleging that they were racially profiled as Muslims and removed from an American Airlines flight because the captain felt uneasy.
