This is what the Yorubas are good for. As long as they get their daily bread, their women are even ready to open their yansh as a sign of courtesy. Tell me, culture or no culture does this lady's behavior align with national and international etiquettes? Yorubas, always kissing Hausas stinking yansh, all in the name of daily bread. No Igbo woman will do this nonsense. I am proud of Igbos because they know their stand and will continue to hold the Yorubas and Hausas with the greatest disdain.

Obviously a comment from a typical bitter igbo person. Always looking for trouble and always imagining in your illiterate heads that you're better than others

Anonymous said...

Your comment doesn't make sense at all, when she knelt down for Tinuba, Yoruba no lick Yoruba Yansh then. Some Igbo guys/girls just need to grow the hell up and stop holding another tribe accountable for whatever is happening to Biafra. Your own destiny is in ur hands

Unknown said...

Hahaha@ open their nyash as a sign of courtesy.

Okbye.

All the people complaining about the present administration, I say shame on you all. Was it not obvious that you were voting for a "recycled" president who was even a dictator when he failed Nigeria decades back? Good for you all! Foolish Nigerian people. Buhari deceived you all.

Fool like you, I just finished watching Channels TV old women kneeling down for the governors wife. Because she gave them mere garri processing machine hungry looking hagard Igbo people with no respect.

50 percent of ibo women are harlots, they lack proper upbringing, that's why most of them marries late and lack proper home trainings.

Thats why igbo people will always be an underdog in Nigeria. Its absolutely senseless to equate her culture with women equality. The two people he respected are much older than. So why than nonsense and brainless talk about yourba and hausa. Thats why it will talk centuries upon centuries before ibo man will be become The president of Nigeria.

Unknown said...

Basic ladylike way or greeting.. It cut across Yoruba race down to Europe etc.. Where ladies of prestige and royal birth are know to courtesy.. Ignoramus here are only limiting it to Yoruba race and turning basic way for a lady to respond to greetings in a social gathering to tribe...

Anonymous said...

Sadly some igbos r so stupid that they fail to recognise dt we yorubas respect older age and position. If its nt part of your culture then keep shut. We don't wake our elders wt sliding tackles. HBD jagaban

Courtesy towards elders and gender equality are world's apart. Use your brain! Respecting elders in no way hinders women empowerment, most of u don't even have an iota of sense!

Anonymous said...

I feel sorry for you.

Anonymous said...

Why won't the idiot say it's a publicity stunt when you people would rather kill your elders than respect them. Piece of shit

Anonymous said...

Don't mind the mannerless idiots. I LOVE being Yoruba. The culture can never be duplicated. We respect our elders while some would much rather slay theirs

anonymous said...

The problem nowadays is that youths want to make the same mistakes their parents made by allowing tribe and religious sentiments divide us. Their are only two types of Nigerians good and bad ones u re either igbo, Hausa or youruba because you were born their or maybe your parents are from their non of you had control of where to come from before your birth. So all this bitterness is not necessary after all when these men sit in national assembly they share monies among themselves and tribal and religious sentiments don't come to play. Youth wake pls. And for the record their is nothing wrong in being respectful is not a sign of weakness but strength. Thank you

Igbos will only be President in Biafra, because they are selfish, self-centered, back-stabbers, fraudulent, greedy, wicked, dirty fools, who love to always play the victim. Mscheeeeeeeeeeeeww!

Anonymous said...

You, and your other kindred always comment like people that are mentally retarded, when did a colloquium turn to partying and dining?

Unknown said...

You really amaze me with some of your negative words. It is well with you

Anonymous said...

You're so daft, Yorubas hold their women in such high esteem, for their grace and compartment. Yoruba men also bow or prostrate for their elders.

To bring one's self down in humility, gives the opportunity for others to raise you up.

But you wouldn't know that, since you're people, buy prestige for a living.

Anonymous said...

The Yorubas have not produced any president in Nigeria. Obasanjo was originally from Togo. His parents successfully integrated into the Yoruba culture and hence became Yorubas. Awolowo, a typical Yoruba man could have become president, but was betrayed by his fellow Yoruba man in the likes of Abiola. Abiola himself was treated like a boy without sense after he won the presidency and felt that he didn't need the Igbos to become president because he thought that he was in agreement with Babangida to handover power to him. If therefore what you regard as President is the type that Sholenko was, then an Igbo man will not want to be. We will rather live as our own men, than to live as a fool in another man's ( Hausa) paradise. So you see how stupid your comment is?

Anonymous said...

I know a tribe thats kneels yet says "aunty Oshi." Mrs Osibajo is obviously naturally humble and I love her. However, from experience the fact that a Yoruba person kneels or prostrates does not necessarily translate to humility. It could just be sly. I don't think thats the case here.

Anonymous said...

It's obvious you've gat no news thesedays

Age before beauty honey. If it was a dude of her age, I'd expect him to courtesy in respect to elder statesmen such as Buhari and Tinubu. lets all be fair and stop being Nigerians for a bit, and stop believing someone's trying to rip us off of something biko!

Anonymous said...

I hear it's Igbo folks' culture to wipe thier asses with paper and not wash up properly after a visit to the loo?

80% of Yoruba women are clean cut ashewos. Hence it's a popular name for prostitution in Nigeria. Even with your magun (juju), yet yoruba women still prostitute in marriage. The dirtiest of all tribes in Nigeria. Pls consider the topic and stop commenting senselessly.

This is soo not right, granted our culture to respect our elders, her present disposition as d VP's wife, makes it imperative for her to greet officially n not this traditional stunt, moreso this was an official engagement.

U don't have to courtesy bcos it's not ur thing, and ur tribe can never earn it, bcos u don't deserve it

Is Dolapo a lady of prestige or royal birth? Mtchew if so why is she holding the car to genuflect to Tinubu? To help herself stand up after her stunt? This your oga's madam's (please be corrected it is CURTSEY not COURTESY) genuflection looks like a pepper seller seducing an agbero while touting her wares. Fake woman.

Anonymous said...

Jesus! Linda the English graduate, "courtsies"? Dolapo Osinbajo supporters club "courtesy"? This one no be curtsey o, na CROUCH! Ha ha ha the struggle is real! Pastor wife crouching to Chicago druglord. Chains

it is amazing to see comments on this blog. It is however bitter to see people who see the right thing but choose to say the wrong thing, means there is a disconnect btw your brains and speech and just goes on to show how tribalistic this country can be. To be clear on this,so for someone to uphold her rich African culture is now a public stunt abi. Well, for me, i salute her cos even if it was a public stunt at least its a good stunt to emulate not scattered english as public stunt as seen in previous times.

Anonymous said...

Tell that to the pathetic Igbos!

Anonymous said...

Yes she is the vice president's daughter - But that is to show that the late papa Awolowo instilled discipline in his grandchildren - If she did not knee, they will always refer her back to her lineage and call her ill mannered. Good on you VP's wife.

Anonymous said...

Na vp wife no be vp daughter. She marry her school teacher. Na respect force her abandon her papa name Soyode begin dey form grandpapa pikin abi? Kontinu

Very sad, social media brings all sorts together, displaying their ignorance. Part of the problem we have in the south west from economic refugees is the lack of understanding of the indigenous peoples culture. Always deluded to think their own way is the highway. The Yoruba culture is very rich. So people without one may lack the simple sense to understand, then better to shhhh..

Anonymous said...

Always think everything is about beating their chest like a gorilla, to even communicate, talk less of anything requiring physical effort. Yoruba culture rich and vital!
