LIB Exclusive: Armed robbers arrested for robbing a whole street including a reverend father's house in Ogun state (photos)

A gang of four armed robbers were yesterday paraded at the Police, Zone 2 command, Lagos state for robbing different houses including the house of a reverend in Owode area of Ogun state.

Speaking to Journalists, Zonal Police PRO, Dolapo Badmus revealed the Zonal Intervention Squad (ZIS) caught the men after they got information that one of the gang members was receiving treatment at the hospital after he was shot by the community's vigilante group on his left arm. 

While Speaking with LIB, one of the armed robbers whose gunshot wound led to the arrest of other members of the group, Rabiu Abiodun, 28, narrated that this would be his second time going to prison and that he was the person who drove other members of his gang in an Okada during the operation.

"My name is Rabiu Abiodun, I'm 28 years old. I started armed robbery in 2013 and was caught after I bought a stolen phone. This is my first time going for an operation with this group and all I did was to carry them in an Okada."

Narrating how he was caught, Rabiu said he was arrested by the Zonal Intervention Squad while receiving treatment for his gunshot wounds.

"During our operation, the vigilante group shot me on my left arm and I went to the hospital to receive treatment. After my arrest, I led them to where my other members were hiding."

The Zonal PPRO, Dolapo Badmus revealed the names of the group memebers as, Rabiu Abiodun, Segun Farako, Dauda Ayinde and Olatoye Popola. Some of the items recovered from the group included, Phones, Laptops, Cash  and a locally made pistol. 

The Assistant Inspector General, Adamu Ibrahim has directed that they0 should be charged to court.
