Officials of the Customs and Border Patrol at New York's JFK airport on Wednesday announced the arrest of two men who attempted to smuggle drugs by strapping packages of cocaine to their body.

Both men who are yet to be identified had the drugs taped to their legs, under their clothing.
According to CBP New York City, the two men were caught with 23 pounds (10.4 kilos) of cocaine estimated at a nearly $400,000 street value while trying enter into the United States from the Dominican Republic on April 19, 2017.

But officials say it's yet unclear if they knew each other.
