Sweden's Prince Carl Philip married former Glamour model and reality TV star Sofia Hellqvist, 30, at a ceremony in the chapel at Stockholm's Royal Palace. Prince Carl is the 3rd in line to the throne behind his elder sister Princess Victoria and her daughter, Princess Estelle.

Princess Sofia is a former glamour model, who once posed topless while clutching a snake to preserve her modesty.

As a glamour model, Hellqvist won the men's magazine Slitz‍ '​s "Miss Slitz" competition in 2004 and was then cast and participated in the reality television show Paradise Hotel in 2005.
Hellqvist had been in a relationship with Prince Carl Philip since 2010. After the initial confirmation of their relationship, it was reported that the Swedish monarchy was "on the defensive", due to Hellqvist's history as a semi-nude erotic model and reality show contestant. In April 2011, the couple moved in together at a private estate in Djurgarden, Sweden.

In June 2014, Sofia and Carl Philip announced their engagement, on June 13, 2015 at the Royal Palace chapel in Stockholm.

The 30-year-old, who was yesterday given the official title of Princess Sofia of Sweden, Duchess of Värmland, looked breathtaking in an elegant bridal gown, completed with a delicate diamond and emerald crown.
