Kenny Ogungbe represents everything that is wrong about the Nigerian music industry, and this is all down to his person and not the talents of his artists. Lets hope he is now more humble and makes a success of this project.
I have had the opportunity of watching this program once. I have problem with the Judges i.e, they are not coordinated as two of them talk at the same time. The only one among them who appears to be more organized is not allowed to say much. Also, Eric seems to have problem keeping his mouth shut for a second, he keeps interrupting the contestants.
I managed to catch an episode of Centage on Sky 187. The thing i don't like about our folks is the tendency to want to be like other people. Why cant we just be ourselves. Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson are doing their own thing, they surely don't need cheap imitations. We are humorous people, why cant we use our natural gifts and give that show a real Nigerian flavour. We had the same with our hip hop artists and it was only when they shifted to make their sounds more Nigerian that they started to excel.
